Home

Home is where I long to be,
In the backyard underneath my favorite tree.
In my playhouse dissecting a bee,
Or waiting for my mom to call for me.

Home is where I think of when I'm down,
Dreaming of a Gordon Lightfoot 45 spinning around.
Going with my sister to town.
Up and down Main Street acting like clowns.

Home is where my heart is still,
Watching my babies playing down the hill,
Hoping none of them got killed,
Hooping and hollering from morning until.

Home is the East side riding in a car,
Following behind my first born not too far.
If his friends saw, this could have started a war.
But luckily, his coolness, my love didn't scar.

Home is where the peace was when,
My youngest played with all his kin,
Catching a fish, but crying not to kill it then,
For as he put it in the pan it began to move its fin.

Home is where the love was in the days,
I'd go to my mom's house and on her couch, I'd lay.
We'd talk and talk, or not have much to say.
Oh, how I wish it could still be that way.

Home is where the laughter was right next door,
When right beside me lived my grandsons four,
Cooking for them, doing for them - never a chore,
Oh, to go back to that time just once more.

Home is where a bond was unbreakable,
My sister displaying strength unshakable,
Cancer waging its war that was unwinnable.
Her home is where my sweet sissy is unforgettable.

Home is where the joy would over flow.
When to the best job ever I would go.
So much peace, but little I did know,
The end, its face, would one day show.

Our lives go by in stages it seems.
We look back and remember events and dreams.
Home is wherever we are at the time,
But to go back to any of those times would be just fine.

We grow up, then our babies and grandbabies.
We think back about what-ifs and maybes.
But in our hearts is where home will always remain,
Anytime we are feeling weariness, loneliness or pain.

Seems someone has complained about this page going against community standards. May God bless you all and pray for light to prevail as it always does in Jesus Name.

The thorn in your side might not be so sharp for a season, but those thorns seem to return and prick deeper than ever. Be thankful for every second during a season of dull thorns.

I grow tired and weary to my soul of dreading that painful prick. I always know its return is inevitable, but it never becomes any less noticeable or any more bearable.

"Why does God allow evil to exist?" Hmm, as far as I can see He created it along with good. Overcoming the evil with good is a monumental task sometimes. But that's what we are supposed to do. The evil may kill in this process but Heaven awaits me.

Is the battle going on and on and on? Today follow the actions of very wise man, Hezekiah.

He knew the battle was coming and he prepared by stopping the waters from flowing so that the enemy could not quench his thirst there. He took the time to make darts and shields in ABUNDANCE.

Are you furnishing water for your enemy? How many darts do you have ready? Use God's Word against the enemy. Do you have your shield of faith ready?

So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water? 5 Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance. II Chronicles 32:5

What a beautiful day God has given us!!!! May God bless us all on this magnificent day and may we bless God in all we do today.

And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands--yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it.
Psalm 90:17

No matter what all has changed around you this past week there is one thing you can depend on, God is still the same as He has always been. and will always be. Today why not go and worship Him in the middle of your changing circumstances. If you feel you have nothing to be thanful for, simply thank Him for being our mighty unchanging God. I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already completely destroyed. Malachi 3:6
