Holy Wisdom Inclusive Catholic Community

Holy Wisdom Inclusive Catholic Community All Are Welcome! www.holywisdomicc.org We are a Catholic community but are not connected with the parish structure of the Roman Catholic Church.

Holy Wisdom Inclusive Catholic Community is a worshiping community, in Olympia, Washington and on Zoom, grounded in Roman Catholic tradition and liturgy. Inspired by Vatican II, which described the Church as the “People of God,” we desire to bring this vision to the 21st Century and live it. In Holy Wisdom we believe that our world demands we offer full participation to all who are gifted and prep

ared to serve in ministry—regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or marital status. We also invite all to receive communion at the table of Christ. Diane Smith Whalen and Vieda Baker, ordained Roman Catholic Woman Priests, preside at masses. (www.romancatholicwomenpriests.org)

Our community celebrates Catholic Mass every Saturday at 5:00pm via Zoom. On the first, third, and fifth Saturdays, we have a Community Sharing Mass with some periods of contemplative silence and a shared homily. On the second and fourth Saturdays, we celebrate a traditional Mass with homily. Once a month, usually on the second Saturday, we celebrate a hybrid mass, both on Zoom and in person, either at St. John/San Juan Episcopal Church in Olympia, 114 20th Ave SE, Olympia, or at the home of one of our members. For more information, please check out our website: https://www.holywisdomicc.org/. Visitors are always welcome! To join us electronically, please contact us at [email protected].

Kathleen Bellefeuille Rice is Bishop-Elect!

We are thrilled to announce that our beloved Kathleen Bellefeuille-Rice has been elected Bishop of the Region for the Holy Margins of Roman Catholic Women Priests.

Kathleen helped us birth our Holy Wisdom Inclusive Catholic Community in 2010. As one of the founders and leaders of our community, she helped us become a functional, organized community. She was ordained as a RCWP deacon in 2012 and priest in 2014. She served us first as a deacon then as a priest until her retirement from the community a few years ago.

Kathleen’s Episcopal (Bishop) Ordination will be on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:00am PDT at United Churches in Olympia. She encourages all to participate in the Procession of the Species during that weekend as part of the festivities!

We invite all to keep Kathleen in your hearts and prayers as she moves into this role of bishop.

Today is World Food Day—a day when we are encouraged to live out Christ’s call to feed the hungry and care for our neighbors. With 673 million people worldwide still suffering from hunger, we are reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me food.”
On this day, you can make a difference in the lives of our sisters and brothers by urging Congress to maintain robust funding for food and poverty relief programs, including Title II Food for Peace and McGovern-Dole Food for Education.

Catholic Relief Services eases suffering and provides assistance to people in need in more than 100 countries, without regard to race, religion or nationality.
