Much to my regret I had to let go of the ministry. All the birds have been found new homes. It was more than I could take care of by myself. Cost of food became too expensive. And due to my age and health I had to retire. Thank you all for your support. It was such a blessing taking care of the birds and seeing the blessings they bought to so many people. The smiles and love that was shared between them and the people they came in contact with. It is the memories that I will have for the rest of my life.
At some point I will be selling toys, cages, and a lot of bird accessories in a yard sale. The money will go to paying the expenses of the ministry. God bless all those who were part of the ministry and helped in operating the small store we had in the flea market. Thank you to Maureen Horton, cofounder for her dedication to bringing the ministry to life. May she rest in everlasting peace.

The birds were okay. Probably stressed and traumatized, but will survive. Birds are smarted than people give them credit for.

The memorial service for Maureen Horton-Legere will be on 1-10-2015 at 11:00 am. It will be held at Diversity Christian fellowship, 637 St 131st East Ave, Tulsa, OK. It is west of 44 just off of 11th St.
