The "endâ the Bible spoke of wasnât the end of the world, or of ending mankind's capacity for wickedness,
it was the end of a system of separation that produced wickedness and everything that stood between God and man.

The Verse You Cannot Get Around!

In Gospel of Luke 21:20â22, Jesus gives a specific, observable sign to His disciples:
âWhen you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that her desolation has come nearâŚ
For these are the days of vengeance, to fulfill ALL THINGS that are written.âđ
This is not symbolic language.
This is not vague.
This is not open-ended.
This is a visible, historical event:
Jerusalem surrounded by armies.
What Jesus Actually Said (No Additions, No Assumptions)
A clear audience, âWhen YOU seeâŚâ
He is speaking directly to them, not to people 2,000 years later.
A specific event, âJerusalem surrounded by armiesâ
Not rumors. Not global chaos. Not a future antichrist.
A defined meaning, âthen know her desolation is nearâ
The event itself is the sign.đ
A time statement, âthese are the days of vengeanceâ
Not a distant era. Not an extended timeline.
Days.
A total fulfillment, âto fulfill ALL things that are writtenâđ
Not some things. Not most things.
All things.
Now Compare It With History
In 66â70 AD, the Roman armies under Titus, son of Vespasian, did exactly what Jesus described.
Jerusalem was surrounded by encampments.
The city was besieged and cut off
The temple was destroyed in 70 AD
Even the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus records the event in detail.
The Inescapable Conclusion
If Jesus said:
âWhen you seeâŚâ
âThese are the daysâŚâ
âTo fulfill all things writtenâŚâ
âŚand that exact event happened in their lifetimeâŚ
Then only two options remain:
1. Jesus meant exactly what He said
â Fulfillment happened in the first century.
2. Jesus was wrong
â Which undermines everything.
There is no third option that allows:
a 2,000-year delay
a future duplicate fulfillment
or an unfinished prophecy
The Problem With Modern End-Times Systems is
every future-based system has to:
Redefine âyouâ to mean someone else
Turn a literal army into symbolism
Break âall thingsâ into partial fulfillment and Insert a gap Jesus never mentioned.
But the text doesnât allow for that.
Why This Matters?
This isnât just about one prophecy.
Itâs about what the Bible was actually pointing to all along.
The prophets of Israel were not predicting the end of the physical worldâŚ
They were warning of the end of a covenant system.
A system:
centered on a physical temple
mediated by a priestly hierarchy
sustained by continual sacrifice
and defined by separation from God
That system was never the goal.
From the beginning, the intention was a nation of priests, a people, not a hierarchy.
What âJudgmentâ Really Meant
When the prophets spoke of:
desolation
vengeance
âthe endâ
They were describing the collapse of that old order,
not the end of humanity,
not the destruction of the planet,
and not the removal of all human wrongdoing.
And Jesus Gave the Sign
âWhen you see Jerusalem surrounded by armiesâŚâ
That was it.
Not a future global crisis.
Not an event thousands of years away.
But the end of the old covenant world centered in Jerusalem.
So what happened in 70 AD?
Not the end of the worldâŚ
But the end of the system that:
defined sin through law
maintained distance through ritual
and confined Godâs presence to a building
What remained was what had always been intended:
A people, not a place.
A presence, not a system.
A fulfilled covenant, not one still waiting. đđ
