On our Christian walk, faith in what God has made available to us is extremely important if we are to see any manifestations at all in our lives. Releasing our faith is a powerful tool in our fight against the unbelief the enemy sends against us. Self-effort is the opposite of trust in God, and if we find ourselves working to earn what we want to receive from Him, this is an indication that we are operating in unbelief. We must not confuse empty works with works of faith. There is technically nothing wrong with doing something in order to see the manifestations of God’s promises, as long as what we do is inspired by the Holy Spirit and led by Him. Doubt short-circuits our faith. When we struggle, we do not need more faith; we simply need to banish unbelief in our lives, in any degree and in any form in which it shows up.
Our belief is strengthened when we consider the things of God, not of the world.

When life throws us a challenge that requires a response, there are many ways we can choose to respond. If we want a positive outcome, the response we give in the middle of that challenge is important. How we respond determines what happens next, and a faith response will always release supernatural manifestation. We can base our response on the finished works of Jesus, Who made available to us everything we will ever need for a godly life. If we do that, then our faith takes what grace has already made available.

As Christians, one of the key issues in our lives is whether or not we know who we are in Christ. If we do not understand that we are a spirit possessing a soul and living in a physical body, then we will go through life thinking that we are our body or our soul. Our body is what gives us authority in this world, but it is not the real person. As spiritual beings created in God’s image, when we die and leave our body behind, we are absent from it but present with the Lord. We tend to be more familiar with our physical house than our genuine self, but when we are born again and become a new creation, the old self dies. We put on a new self created in righteousness and holiness, and we receive an entirely new nature that perfectly reflects God’s nature. Everything about our lives will change because we are a brand new creation, but for this to happen, we must believe it... We begin our transformation when we start changing the way we think.
"Put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24)".

Jesus accepts us as we are, regardless of the emotional baggage we may be dragging around with us; but His intention is to transform us. Christians must understand that transformation should happen in our lives, but we will not experience any change until we understand our true identity. Our beliefs affect our entire lives, and wrong-believing is behind every fear, addiction, shame, and other struggle we have. We must examine our belief system and determine where it came from, so that we can rightly interpret the Scriptures and renew our minds to God’s perfect will. When we are born again, our spirits are as perfect as Jesus Christ Himself. We are not our body, our mind, or our actions—our identity is based in Him. Knowing who we really are is the key to transformation... To see change in our lives, we must have a true understanding of who we really are.

When we hear the phrase, “come as you are,” in relation to church attendance, sometimes we assume we can remain as we are. God’s love and grace allow us to come to Him as we are, without having to be qualified to be in His presence. No matter what state we are in when we come to Him, He will cause something in us to change. Some people are content to remain the same, continuing in fear and bo***ge, but through His unmerited, undeserved favor, God is able to teach us to do what we were previously unable to do. Jesus died on the cross to set us free from every issue that we would ever have to deal with. This is a truth that is controversial in some circles, yet believing it unlocks the power to set us free. When we correctly interpret the truth of the Gospel, we put ourselves in a position to receive life transformation... How we think determines our behavior, and influences every part of our life.

As Christians who have been born again, we should see real life transformation, but many people are still waiting to experience it. This delay can only happen if we have been lied to about being born again. Wrong-believing puts us in bo***ge, because it causes us to live wrong. We make the mistake of focusing on living right without paying attention to believing right. But believing right is powerful, because we can change our lives by changing what we believe. Believing in Jesus and what He has done frees us from fear, shame, guilt, addictions, and whatever else afflicts us. Jesus is Grace, and therefore He is the truth that brings us real freedom... Grace shows us who we really are in Jesus. It accomplishes what the Law never could.

We do not need to be haunted or tormented by things that happened in the past. One thing I do is to forget those things that are behind, and reach toward those things that are ahead (Philippians 3:13).
Like Paul said, if we want to go forward, we must let go of past shames. We can learn from them without letting them hold us back. Remember... Jesus found shame so despicable that He died on the cross to defeat it. Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. For the joy that was set before him, He endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of God’s throne (Hebrews 12:2).

When we feel like we must hide from God because of shame, we must remember that He has set us free from this through Jesus. Knowing that Jesus became the object of shame on our behalf makes us confident that we are delivered from it. This emotion is designed to paralyze us and prevent us from moving forward. It is a weight and a burden that causes us fear and leaves us hopeless. It is not enough for us simply to know about shame and what it does—we must deal with it to avoid suffering from its consequences. When the woman came to Jesus, washed His feet with her tears, and dried them with her hair, He helped her fight against the shame of her sin by giving her a promise of forgiveness. In the same way she had to believe His promise, we must also believe in what Jesus has done. We must learn to listen to the voice of God through His Word , not the accusing voice of shame.

05/30/2017

The devil uses shame as a weapon to prevent us from fulfilling the destiny God has appointed for our lives. If he can shame us enough, he can paralyze and sabotage whatever God has purposed for us. To prevent him from doing that, we must immediately let go of whatever makes us feel ashamed or embarrassed. God wants to set us free from these emotions, and He accomplished this two thousand years ago when Jesus Christ became our shame substitute. He actually became sin, so we do not have to be condemned by it. Whatever Jesus did not go through for us is something we would have to go through ourselves. The choice to believe this is ours, and we are one decision away from overcoming shame...We must see shame for what it is—a weapon the enemy uses against us.

05/28/2017

We must not let shame sabotage God’s purpose for us, or paralyze His call on our lives. He has given all of us an assignment, and we must believe that everyone’s life is significant and has a purpose. The devil’s favorite weapon to use against us is shame over something that happened in the past. As Christians, we must not only understand shame, but learn how to overcome it. Shame stems from a sense of failure and is a powerful emotion caused by a consciousness of guilt or shortcoming, but the answer to the shame dilemma is Jesus, Himself.

05/24/2017

Trusting in the Word of God puts us in a position to see the manifestations we seek.

04/26/2017

Having faith in God’s grace unlocks supernatural manifestations, but we must consistently apply our faith. If we take grace to the extreme, we can find ourselves in lasciviousness, and if we take faith to the extreme, we can get caught in legalism. The Bible says a false balance is an abomination to God. As Believers, we must have a proper balance between all the Scriptures, and don’t go to the extreme on our Christian walk. What am I trying to say? We should not use grace as an excuse to do nothing, and we should not use faith as an excuse to rely on self-effort to get God to move. Grace and faith are both important, but we must know when works of faith become works of the Law.
