West Tulsa Church was honored to host the 1-1-1 Project on campus for their Tulsa County June meeting. Leaders from Oklahoma DHS, private foster care organizations, and other churches came together to learn more about the impact that 1-1-1 Project and Care Portal are making across our city and county.

1-1-1 Project is an incredible organization that connects community members in need to the local church. The 1-1-1 Project reminds the church that while not everyone is called to foster, everyone can do something to help meet the needs of kids in foster care. Through the Care Portal, needs are met in many different ways; some of the requests help keep kids out of foster care, other requests strengthen families so they can reunify, and foster families who have accepted children into their homes can also receive help so that all of the child's needs are met.

We are thankful for the partnership and relationship we have formed with 1-1-1 Project. If you'd like to learn more about this organization and how you can get involved as a Care Portal volunteer with our church, please comment below or reach out to Tara Summers.
