Our Story
I'm a teacher, a minister, and a chaplain. Whenever I’m not at school or church; I do work site visits and go to hospitals. I just thought I share a little of my day yesterday, before the “Q”starts.
#pastorjulianrodriguez Going to a hospital to visit means that you're going to have answer questions. Have you traveled lately? Have you been to a particular country or state in the "#lastdays"? Then there's the actual visit: the brother who knows I believe in healing tells me: "I want you to lay hands on me," So I did. I go make another stop. Here the managers and the workers are going to quit for the day. There are about 20 of them lining up at the time clock as they leave I chat a little with them and wish them a blessed day. I go into the office and visit with the front desk person who has secured a sufficient amount of toilet paper and an adequate number of things for her household. She also confided in me that she made her own hand sanitizer because she couldn't find any. Well she actually did, but another person was hoarding many items and took the last 5-6. She added "I asked her for at least one, but she wouldn't share. So she went home and found half a dozen bottles of alcohol, and she used them. Right in the middle of that conversation; I see the "Fed-ex" man walk in drop a box end extend his pen. She and are still cleaning with her homemade solution, and he quickly exits. We're literally still in the middle of our conversation, I had to interrupt her. "Stop let me go talk to this guy" I said. The "fed-ex" driver is a young man: I'm at least six inches taller than him. He has started to drive away. I say: "I'm a chaplain and I just felt like I should pray for you; would that be Okay?" He allowed me to pray, but when was done, he jumps off the vehicle and says: "thanks so much (and) can I give you a hug? So: he does! The other work sites may be guarded but there's one where everyone extends their hand as soon as they see you, by the end of the day I'm just raising my elbow or doing a wave. Any way that’s the way it used to be before the #pandemic. Today I'm safe and secure at home, but I miss being out there.
