A legacy is not wrapped up in a last few days, but is developed over time.

Merry Christmas to my family and friends.
As I sit here reading Luke 1-2 in my father in law’s Bible listening to “Happy Birthday Jesus” and to “Do It Again” & “The King is Among Us” by Elevation worship I am grateful for many things:
-God’s intervention in history announced by the Angel Gabriel stating that the Son of God will be Savior, Messiah, and Lord (Luke 2:11)
-that He will be named Jesus which means “the Lord is Salvation”
-that Mary as Mother of our Lord forever seals the value of women in the eyes of the Lord
-The Lord God Who scandalously has chosen to love and relentlessly pursue all men and women to know and love Him (I Timothy 2:3-4) and receive Him personally as Lord (John 1:12)
- that He on purpose has offered salvation to all men and women both Jews and Gentiles (Romans 1:16)
-that Jeremiah 29:13 is still true “If you seek Me, I will let you find Me, if you search for Me with all your heart”
-that I have a wife and 3 daughters and son in law’s who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and 6 precious grandchildren who are being raised to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ.
- that I have a mom & sister who know the Lord and a dad and uncle who received Him before my very eyes
-for all the people who have ever invested in my spiritual journey and development: it was risky for many of you
-that I have countless friends who are faithful followers of Jesus Christ and who share the truth about Jesus every time the Holy Spirit makes a way in both word and deed
- that by God’s grace I was born in a country that allows me to follow Christ and try to fulfill the purpose of God in my generation and that I have been able to walk with countless others who want to fulfill Gods purpose as well
- that God’s grace has blessed us to be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:1-3)
-that Romans 8 and Psalm 145 are in the Bible (plus lots of others)
Merry Christmas to you!!!

New International Version Rom 12:18
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”
There is big difference between being a peace keeper and being a peace maker. Being a peacemaker values relationships but may also require some boundaries.

Us guys have a real aversion to owning up to the fact that we fear anything. But Psalm 56:3 says “When I am afraid…” not “If I am afraid…”. So it looks like fear is one of those unwelcome travel companions on this life journey. Today's blog talks about what it looks like to trust in times of fear.

I have found that a great way to get to know someone better is to schedule a time over lunch, or on a break and ask them to “Tell me your story.” It requires 2 things from us:

To be intentional.
To LISTEN.

Today's blog talks a bit more about the importance of hearing someone's story. http://www.chaplainonsite.com/whats-your-story/

Many times when our friends are going through a time of grief we feel like we don’t know what to say. I have found that is worthwhile to take the initiative to contact them and just ask “How are you doing, really?” Then, many times the best thing to do is to just “Show up and shut up.”
