90 days ago, men stepped onto the mat.

Last night, they stood around the fire.

Not celebrating perfection.
Celebrating what God has done.

We looked back at the foundation that’s been built, not on sand, but on the Rock. Then we looked forward:

What will you build on it over the next 90 days?

Because freedom without discipline won’t stay freedom.

Then came the boards.

Men named the flesh. The sin. The fear. The wounds. The places God has already brought freedom and the battles where they’re still fighting.

Nothing hidden or polished.

Brothers circled up. Men spoke it out. Men were thanked. Men were prayed over.

And then we put it in the fire.

Jesus gets the glory because He is the One who sets men free.

Grapple Chapel — Week 10.

The fire wasn’t the finish line.
It was the line in the sand for the next 90 days.

Isolation is expensive.

Too many men are trying to think through hard things alone. No brothers to challenge them. No one to pray with them. No place to say what’s actually going on. No men in their corner helping them find the next healthy step forward.

Men were never designed to fight that way.

Our Band of Brothers fall season is coming, and if any of this sounds like you, don’t overthink it. Just show up.

We kick off the second week of September. There’ll be food, good men, real conversations, prayer, and a place for you at the table.

Go to joinbandofbrothers.com, find a site, and get signed up.

Get out of isolation. Get around good men. Start running in the right direction.

Isolation is expensive!

There are a lot of men carrying heavy things…

That’s not the problem.

The problem is too many of them are carrying it alone.

This morning, our Band of Brothers Tulsa Area guys were out at several different locations doing something pretty simple, standing face to face with men and talking about real life.

Marriage, work, pressure, faith, decisions. The season they’re in and where they’re headed.

And the same thing kept surfacing:

Too many men are trying to think through hard things alone. No brothers to challenge them. No one to pray with them. No place to say what’s actually going on. No men in their corner helping them find the next healthy step forward.

Men were never designed to fight that way.

Our Band of Brothers fall season is coming, and if any of this sounds like you, don’t overthink it. Just show up.

We kick off the second week of September. There’ll be food, solid men, real conversations, and a place for you at the table.

🔥 MEN — GET THIS ON YOUR CALENDAR.

Saturday, August 29 | BELOW THE SURFACE

We’re bringing Roy Wooten, Executive Director of The Crucible Project, to Tulsa for a morning built around the real stuff men deal with — the things underneath the anger, pressure, isolation, shame, setbacks and patterns we can’t seem to shake.

Nothing is off limits. No pretending. Just men getting real and pursuing freedom together.

🥓 Breakfast at 8:30 AM
⚔️ We start at 9:00 AM
📍 Memorial Drive Church of Christ

Here’s the challenge: Don’t come alone.

Think of one man who needs to be in the room. Send him this post, invite him personally, and get registered.

Breakfast is on us — registration helps us know how many men to feed.

MEN — PUT THIS ONE ON YOUR CALENDAR. 🔥

Saturday, August 29th.

We have an incredible opportunity to hear from Roy Wooten, Executive Director of The Crucible Project, and a panel with 50+ years of experience walking with men through the real stuff below the surface.

The patterns. The wounds. The setbacks. The things we keep fighting without always understanding why.

No pretending. No shame. Nothing off limits. Just men getting real and pursuing freedom together.

Man, I love this time of year.

This morning, our guys were out at different sites catching up, meeting new men, praying with people, and answering the question:

“What is Band of Brothers?”

It’s brotherhood with a purpose.

If you’re tired of shallow conversations…
If you know you need good men around you…
If you’re ready to stop trying to carry everything alone…
Or if you know a man who’s been isolated and needs some brothers running in the same direction…

This is for you.

What you see in this photo is the celebration.
What you don’t see… is what made the men.

You don’t see the tears.
The silence after hard truths were spoken.
The late-night phone calls.
The walls coming down.
The confessions.
The fear.
The brothers refusing to let another man stay isolated.
The moments men climbed into the pit together and decided, “You’re not staying here alone.”

You don’t see the commitments made when nobody was watching.
The marriages fought for.
The addictions brought into the light.
The wounds confronted.
The pride crushed.
The identity restored.
The purpose awakened.

For 10 weeks, these men showed up.
Not to play church.
Not to wear a shirt.
Not for a highlight reel.
But to become dangerous men under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

And because of Jesus… these men are not the same men they were 10 weeks ago.

I’m incredibly proud of every single one of you.

And to the leaders — Eddie Roach, Ryan Lombard, and Curtis Summers — people will never fully understand the weight leadership carries behind the scenes. The months of preparation before this ever begins. The meetings. The healthy conflict. The planning. The administration. The recruiting. The follow-up. The burden-bearing. The hard conversations. The unseen ministry when everyone else has gone home.

Men, you lived out “so others may live.”

You didn’t just lead sessions.
You poured yourselves out so other men could encounter freedom, brotherhood, truth, accountability, and Jesus Christ in a real way.

This is what happens when men stop hiding.
This is what happens when men submit to God and sharpen one another.
This is what happens when ordinary men fully surrender and Heaven touches earth.

South Tulsa… you finished strong.

Surrendered men! Those are the men God changes the world through.
