The world teaches separation.
Jesus teaches union.

Religion says:
“Clean yourself up first.”

Jesus says:
“Come to Me.”

Maybe the transformation we’re looking for doesn’t start with trying harder —
maybe it starts with realizing we were never abandoned in the first place.

His Spirit is near.
His love is constant.
And His invitation has always been relationship.

Jesus never separated people by worthiness.
Religion did that.

Jesus moved toward the broken.
Toward the outcast.
Toward the hurting.
Toward the sinner.

Why?

Because union was always the goal.

Not perfection first.
Not performance first.
Relationship first.

The heart of the Father has always been restoration, reconciliation, and connection.

Maybe today we stop running from God and start resting in the truth that He’s already moved toward us.

Union was always the goal.

Jesus didn’t just come to get us to heaven one day — He came to restore what was lost in the garden. Relationship. Oneness. Union with God and with one another.

In John 17, Jesus prayed something powerful before the cross:

“That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You…” — John 17:21

Think about that.
The same union Jesus had with the Father is the union He desired for us. Not distant. Not separated. Not striving to earn closeness. One.

Religion often teaches distance.
Jesus revealed connection.

The gospel was never just behavior modification — it was reconciliation. Christ in us. Us in Him.

Until we understand union, we’ll keep living like orphans while seated at the table as sons and daughters.

Peace is not always found in answers.
Sometimes it’s found in an embrace.

One of the most powerful moments in Scripture is when Jesus drew near to people instead of pushing them away. He embraced them.

He embraced the broken.
The weary.
The overlooked.
The hurting.

And somehow, in His presence, fear lost its grip.

Maybe what your soul needs most right now is not more noise, more striving, or more understanding…

Maybe you just need to rest in His arms.

“He drew near.”

There is peace in His nearness.
Peace in His love.
Peace in knowing you are held by Him.

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.” — Isaiah 66:13

Our emotions have to match His peace.

Until our emotions match His peace, it’s a sign we’re still healing, still growing, still learning to trust Him fully. But that’s okay… because peace is working in us.

Real peace isn’t the absence of problems.
It’s the presence of God in the middle of them.

Don’t let fear lead you.
Don’t let anxiety define you.
Let His peace have its way in your heart.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:7

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you…” — Isaiah 66:13

No matter what you’re carrying today, God is not distant from your pain. He is near to the brokenhearted, steady in the middle of chaos, and faithful to comfort His people.

The world offers temporary peace, but the comfort of God reaches deep into the soul. In every burden, every fear, and every hard season, He reminds us we are not alone.

At Homestead Way, we believe church should feel like home — a place where people are loved, encouraged, and pointed back to Jesus.

Come sit with us this Sunday. We’ll save you a seat.
