In today’s Bible reading, we find this nugget:
“And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho” (Joshua 3:15-16 KJV).

The Israelites stood at the edge of a flooded Jordan River, right across from Jericho. They couldn’t see what was happening 16–20 miles upstream at the city of Adam. But the moment the priests stepped into the water in faith, God began piling up the waters “very far” away. The miracle had already started, they just couldn’t see it yet.

Isn’t that so much like life with the Lord?

Oftentimes when we trust Him and take that first step of obedience, we don’t immediately see the beginning of the miracle. He’s already at work “upstream” in ways, places, and timing we can’t see from where we stand. The river may still look raging and impossible downstream, but He is moving mountains (or heaping waters!) far beyond our view.

All we have to do is trust His promises and His process and keep walking forward by faith.

🌅 He is Risen! 🌅

This morning we celebrate the greatest event in history — the Lord Jesus Christ is risen indeed! The stone was rolled away, death was defeated, and hope was reborn for all who believe.

Because He lives, we have forgiveness, new life, and the promise of eternal hope.

Join us today at 11:00 AM as we gather to worship our risen Savior, hear His Word, and celebrate together as a family of faith.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” – John 11:25

See you there! 🙌

Silent Saturday

After the cross, everything becomes quiet.
The tomb is sealed.
The voices are gone.
Fear feels in control.
Hope seems buried.

But what feels like the end is only the pause before victory.

If you’re in a waiting season—don’t lose heart.

🌅 Morning is coming!

Good Friday

The innocent is condemned. The guilty are released.

That’s not just the story of Jesus and Barabbas on Good Friday. It’s our story. Or it can be if you simply believe He took your place - “the just for the unjust.”

“[F]or the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:12-13).

On the cross, He prayed, “Father, forgive them…” Even in suffering, He was saving.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Thoughtful Thursday

Real obedience is not proven in ease, but in surrender when the cost is high.

Jesus knew the cross was coming… and He still walked forward. Not reluctantly. Not accidentally.

But willingly.

What step of obedience is God calling you to take today?

Midweek Manna

“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42)

In the garden, Jesus wasn’t forced to the cross. He chose it.

Real obedience isn’t proven when it’s easy. It’s proven when surrender costs something.

This past Sunday, Bro. Gary led us in that wonderful old hymn, Jesus Paid It All, and what a powerful reminder:
“Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain. He washed it white as snow.”

That’s exactly what we see in Jesus’ final week. He surrendered fully… so we could be saved completely.

Midweek Reflection:
Where is God asking you to surrender your will to His?

Truth for Tuesday

It is possible to celebrate Jesus outwardly and still miss Him inwardly. Many celebrate Christmas and Easter holidays without truly understanding who Jesus is.

During the Triumphal Entry, the crowd praised Jesus as King, but many of them didn’t truly know Him. And sadly, a few days later, some of those very same people would shout “Crucify Him.”

Let’s not just praise Him for what we want Him to be—
Let’s worship Him for who He truly is.

The King has come. Do you truly know Him?

Monday Meditation

At the beginning of His final week, Jesus brings a sinner down from a tree (Zacchaeus). But in just a few days, Jesus Himself will be lifted up on a tree.

That is the Gospel! He took our place, our punishment, and offers us pardon, peace, and salvation.

Jesus didn’t just notice Zacchaeus—He knew him, called him, and changed him. And He’s still doing the same today.

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)

We’re thankful to be part of that story.

Last Sunday we were reminded of a powerful truth from the Gospel of Luke:

Before the moment… Jesus prayed.

Throughout His life and ministry, Jesus went to the Father in prayer:
• Before decisions
• Before miracles
• Before trials
• Before the cross

In Luke 11 He teaches us how to pray.
In Luke 18 He encourages us to keep praying.
In Luke 22 He shows us the heart of prayer:
“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”

Prayer is not just something we do in emergencies. Prayer is the daily pattern of a life surrendered to God.

Today, we continue our journey through Luke with one of the most powerful moments in the ministry of Jesus — The Transfiguration.

Join us as we see the glory of Christ revealed and are reminded why we must listen to Him.

Saturday Encouragement

Hebrews 7:25 reminds us that Jesus “ever liveth to make intercession” for us.

That means right now—Jesus is still praying.
He’s praying for you and me. The question isn’t whether Jesus is willing to meet with us.

The question is: Are we willing to meet with Him?

Maybe today you need to just let Jesus:
• Let Jesus save you
• Let Jesus forgive you
• Let Jesus lead you

And it all begins the same way it did in the garden—
On your knees.

Friday Reflection

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus faced the darkest moment of His earthly life.

The cross was only hours away. Its shadow lay dark and deep across His path.

And what did He do?
He knelt and prayed.
“Father… not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42)

Prayer did not remove the cross.
But it gave Him the strength to walk toward it.
Strength often comes after surrender.

There were eleven men in the garden who slept and one man who prayed. When the hour of temptation came, those who slept, fell, while the One who prayed, stood firm.

Whatever you’re facing today, bring it to the Father. He will give you the strength you need.

Thursday Thought

In Luke 11, Jesus told a story about a man knocking on his neighbor’s door at midnight asking for bread.

He kept knocking.
He kept asking.
And finally the door opened.

Then Jesus said:
“Ask… Seek… Knock.” (Luke 11:9)

Prayer requires:
• Persistence
• Consistency
• Faith

God is not an unwilling neighbor. He is a loving Father who delights to hear His children.

Don’t stop praying!
