David in Psalm 37 encourages those who are stressed because the “wicked” (mentioned fourteen times in this psalm) not to “fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity” (vs1). Instead to “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (vs3-4).

To “delight yourself in the Lord” is to “luxuriate yourself” “pamper yourself” in Him; in His love, beauty, His goodness and mercy. If you have Him and you do, what else do you need? If you need it, He will provide it. “For my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). “For it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

Everything - Jesus = nothing. But Jesus + nothing = everything!
