Founder of Faith Ablaze Missions David Bryant surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in 1967, and shortly thereafter received the call from the Lord to preach the gospel of Jesus! Since that time he has traveled around the world time, and time again singing and preaching the everlasting gospel of J
esus in churches, and crusades, and seeing a great harvest of souls come to the Lord! The Bryant's evangelistic ministry has reached many nations of the world, and they believe what Jesus said in John 4:35 that "the fields are ripe for harvest"!! David and his wife Marva are now on a mission of reaching the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthening the church by the Power of God, and doing their best to be a blessing by ministering to, loving, and encouraging the orphans, widows, downtrodden, oppressed, sick, hungry, and afflicted of this world! David and Marva are daily seeking the Lord for wisdom, guidance, and direction to where He would open doors, and lead them to minister next! While staying open, and sensitive to the Lord's leading to minister at various locations around the world, at this present time the focus of FAM is ministering to the Batwa Tribe in Uganda, East Africa! In 2016 the Lord revealed to David and Marva the great spiritual, and physical needs of the Batwa people in Uganda! The story of the Batwa is indeed one of the saddest stories you will ever hear, as they were evicted from their mountain forest homeland in southern Uganda by the government in 1991 because they were thought to be a threat to the mountain gorillas! The gorillas were favored above this people tribe which is perhaps the oldest tribe in Africa! The Batwa in Uganda (today) experience discrimination from the government and other sectors of society, and their rights as indigenous peoples are neither recognized nor respected. The Batwa population in Uganda has a life expectancy of just 28 years, and about 40% of children do not survive to the age of five! There is much more to this tragic story, but I’m sure you understand why David and Marva were deeply touched by the needs of these precious marginalized people. Since 2016 FAM has reached out in every way possible to help these needy people. 12 beautiful brick, and plaster houses have been built, complete with household furnishings! These families in Kasovu Batwa settlement are now living in a comfortable, warm, dry place with beds for the first time in their lives! For the first time in history they have proper places to use the bathroom, and bathe as 3 toilets (latrines) have been built, and a 4th one is under construction at the school! Doctors, and nurses are being mobilized from time to time in the Batwa village of Kasovo to meet their great physical needs! Food, clothing, and shoes are being administered to them on a regular basis! Land has been purchased for them to grow food, and learn agriculture, and farming! I'm so happy to report that we now have a church building where Faith Ablaze Church meets, and in September of 2024 we cut the ribbon opening a beautiful school building where 100 students are being fed 2 meals a day, and getting a great Christian education! It's simply amazing what the Lord has done in a short time in this Batwa settlement! It has literally been transformed by the love, and power of God!
