Heavenly Father
You are the living God. You are mighty and everlasting in all that You do. In Your great mercy You have given us the tools to live a life humbly dedicated to You each day. But, in our stubbornness and brokenness we fail each day. Forgive us, Your people, for our shortcomings. Open our hearts and minds to the Holy Spirit that is in us. Bend our will to Your will so that our thoughts, words, and actions will be pleasing in Your sight.
We pray for our pastors today as they lead us in worshiping and glorifying You. Give them the peace that will allow them to fully open their eyes to Your word. May the love and joy of salvation thru our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ flow thru them to all who would listen. Encourage and guide our pastors in the ministry path that Your have placed them on. Give them both strength and courage in their walk with You, Almighty God. Give our pastors and their congregations the simple mighty faith of a child. You are always with us, around us, within us no matter what may happen in this dark and broken world.
Protect and keep safe from all harm and danger our pastors and their families. Surround our pastors with the loving support of fellow believers. May our pastors and their congregations be true ambassadors of Your Kingdom to this world. Let us be a light of love and hope in the darkness.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, our rock and redeemer.
