Tough Guys & Drama Queens - How Not to Get Blindsided by Your Child's Teen Years by Mark Gregston
A "how-to" book & DVD based study for parents of pre-teens and teens with time-tested, biblical techniques. He shares, from decades of working with teens and families, about certain parenting techniques and perspectives that are no longer effective and explores a new model to help parents connect and
relate to their teen. Mark discusses how to move from a "teaching" model to a "training" model once kids become adolescents. WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR? Moms with kids ages 12 and/or 6th Grade and up. WHEN DOES IT START? Thursday, Sept 17, 2020. 9:30 to 11:30 am. MY CHILD IS IN 5th GRADE, CAN I STILL COME? The topics this class addresses are geared toward teens, who are developmentally different than pre-teens. We have made the difficult decision to limit this class to moms with at least one child in sixth grade/age 12 or older. However, great news! We hope to offer a class geared toward parenting our precious pre-teens in January. So, for the Fall, we'd love to recommend the Loving Moms Class or one of our other Bible Studies. IS THERE CHILDCARE? Yes, and it's FREE for birth up to 5th Grade. NOTE: Childcare for up to age 3 is now full. Heather Bergeron, our Children's Ministry Director, runs a fabulous and engaging program for your kids! Childcare fills up quickly, so if you need childcare, be sure to register early! Because many schools may still be closed, we are pleased to offer childcare for older elementary-aged children. COST: $35
