This Week in Worship

Sunday June 21, 2026

It is the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost and we will celebrate worship in the sanctuary and in our homes via YouTube. Light of Grace will be leading us in worship this Sunday, sharing in Word, dance and song. Rev. Dr. Camille will be sharing a reflection on John 10:1-10. Our hymns are: When Hands Reach Out and Fingers Trace and Amazing Grace. We will post the recording of Sunday's worship services on our YouTube channel.

Light of Grace is a ministry of Saint Andrews for special needs adults. They meet twice each week: every Sunday morning at 10:00 am on Zoom with structured Bible lessons as well as learning and memorizing Scripture; every Thursday evening in the sanctuary at 6:00 pm for dance practice and prayer time. Some members in the group are a “Signing Choir” using a modified version of American Sign Language to convey the meaning of the songs; others are in a liturgical dance ensemble that also uses signing as part of the dance. Liturgical dance as an offering of joy to God is scriptural and Light of Grace dances and signs to the glory of God and as witness to God’s grace. They have learned from Psalm 139 that each of us is a unique and specially gifted person and that we should all use our gifts from God to praise our Creator.

Our scripture passages are Psalm 116: 1-2, 12-19 and Genesis 18:1-15. Our hymns are: To Abraham and Sarah; There Is a Longing in Our Hearts; and Lift Every Voice and Sing. Older Adult Discussion Group

Join us June 18th, at 10:30 am for a discussion led by the Alzheimer’s Association on the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s, offering practical guidance on what to look for and what families should know about Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Since we will have Alzheimer's experts in the house, please bring your questions.

Today a group from the church took a field trip for lunch in Madison and then The Steffen Thomas Museum of Art in Buckhead (the small town). What an interesting and talented artist! We even got a tour from his youngest daughter. Who else has pictures to share?
