This Sunday, July 14th, we will have another rousing Jazz Service! 10am at the church, with the theme of “peace and reconciliation,” and featuring our friends Ken Field on sax & flute, John Thomas on piano, and introducing Zoë Aqua on violin (fresh from her Fulbright studying in Transylvania)! We are so blessed to have such wonderful musicians among us. Come for a moment of inspiration, and stay for the pot luck lunch afterwards! There’s always plenty of food (& music, & love, & inspiration) to share. 💕🎷🍴

Truro’s First Parish is just that - the first congregation in Truro whose coming together meant that the town itself could be incorporated. That was all the way back in 1709. We, the modern-day recipients of this legacy, still worship regularly each summer season (mid-June through mid-September), and hold special services on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
We are an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, which means that our welcome is real and warm, and that it extends to all ages, races and ethnicities, abilities, gender identities and sexual orientations. We welcome people of faith and people full of doubts, as well. At the core, we believe in seeking a spirituality that is honest yet hopeful, and in doing good in the world.
Our worship services are traditional while remaining informal, with hymns, sermons that resonate with the daily news, special music, and a time of prayer. Our building and bathroom are handicap accessible, and there is ample parking whether on our grounds or at the Town Hall lot across the street.
Come for a worship service, come for one of our special events, or just come to visit the oldest wooden structure on the Outer Cape. Our building houses our newly-restored Paul Revere bell and an historic graveyard surrounds us. It’s a pretty remarkable place to visit, however you do it. Check out our website for a full list of our open days and events: www.firstparishtruro.org
