Today's Saint is one you may never have heard of: St. Rose of Viterbo. She was a young girl who did not accomplish anything extraordinary in order to become a Saint. All she had was an extraordinary faithfulness and loyalty: when the rest of the world seemed to be rebelling against the pope, she stood firm, even in the face of exile and the threat of death.

She is the patron Saint of florists, refugees, and people turned away from religious orders.

Today we ask her intercession that we may hold fast to the Church as she did.

St. Rose of Viterbo, pray for us!

For years, St. Augustine searched for happiness in all the wrong places. He pursued success, pleasure, knowledge, and everything else he thought might satisfy him.

But eventually, he discovered what his heart had been searching for all along: God.

Augustine's story reminds us that no one is ever too far away for God's grace. Conversion doesn't always happen quickly. Sometimes God works quietly in a person's heart for years before we see the fruits.

And sometimes, the person we're praying for is closer to God than we realize.

Today, may St. Augustine's words become our prayer:

“Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”

St. Augustine, pray for us—and for all those who are still searching for God.

We also pray for our Holy Father Pope Leo XIV today on this, his patron Saint's feast!
