Here, you can stay up to date on all the happenings in our parish community. Our Purpose at St. Thomas More is to know, love and serve Jesus, and to help others do the same. We get to know Jesus primarily through building relationships with our neighbor and strengthening those relationships by worshipping together around the Eucharistic banquet--which is a taste of heaven itself. Come this Sunday to celebrate our patron Saint, St. Thomas More! It is almost time to celebrate his feast day, and his extraordinary example of heroic faith and courage. Although his feast is typically on June 22nd, we are able to celebrate it as a High Feast on Sunday because he is our patron!

This Sunday, we will be watching the classic film A Man for All Seasons, based on the true story of St. Thomas More giving his life for his faith. We will begin in the social hall, shortly after the conclusion of Mass. All are welcome to join us!

In the 17th century, Jesus appeared to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, revealing His Sacred Heart as a sign of His boundless love and mercy for humanity.

The Sacred Heart reminds us that Christ's love is not distant or abstract—it is personal, compassionate, and always calling us closer to Him. His Heart burns with love for every person and invites us to respond with trust, prayer, and devotion.

As we continue through June, the Month of the Sacred Heart, let us take time to reflect on the love Jesus has for us and ask for the grace to love Him more deeply in return.

Today we wish farewell to Fr. Bob Spezia, our weekend associate of 18 years. We can't thank you enough for your service here, your profound homilies, and your gentle presence in our community. We are so sad to see you go, but we know is gaining a wonderful father and an exceptional priest. We wish him all the luck in the world and we are praying for him and St. Fabian's on this next leg of his journey!

Today we celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This month, the month where we especially call to mind the Heart of Jesus, we remember just how closely connected Jesus and Mary are. Mary aligns her heart—that is, her will, her thoughts, her prayers, her desires—so closely to God’s will that there is nothing imperfect in her.

So let us observe her in order to better know God’s will, and let us ask her prayers in order for the strength to carry it out in all things!

We all turn to him when we lose our keys, but do we ever stop and get to know him? Today the Church celebrates Saint Anthony of Padua, one of the most beloved saints in Christian history.

Born in Portugal in 1195, St. Anthony became a Franciscan friar known for his powerful preaching, deep knowledge of Scripture, and great love for Jesus. Countless people have turned to his intercession when searching for lost items, but his greatest gift was helping people find something even more important: a deeper relationship with God.

St. Anthony reminds us that God's truth is not merely to be studied but to be lived. Through prayer, charity, and faithful witness, he brought many souls closer to Christ.

What do you think of when you hear about the Sacred Heart? Do you overlook the phrase, being so accustomed to it?

In the sense the Bible means it, the Heart is the source, center and foundation of life. Someone's "heart" is the core of that person; what they believe, how they act, who they want to be. Everything that comes out of them comes from the heart.

Taking the word in this sense...what must the Heart of Jesus be like? Imagine how much He loves you. Imagine how kind, loving, and gentle He must be, but also how fierce His longing is to have you with Him in heaven for ever. All of this is wrapped up in the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which we celebrate in June.
