Rev. James Gilchrist, the son of the House of Hope, gave the sermon on July 16, 2017. His sermon was entitled "God Is Looking for Some Unconditional Surrender to be a Disciple of Christ." He took his text from Luke 9: 57-62.

1. You must be willing to get out of your comfort zone and go and do what God wants.
2. God's servants do not pick and choose what they want to do for the Lord.
3. We get to comfortable...fall asleep and miss our blessings.
4. There cannot be any earthly security.
5. God knows our heart and he knows exactly what we will do.
6. There cannot be any prior loyalties to your past, etc.
7. There can be no half-hearted duty.
