Storyteller:

James “Red” Coleman is the pastor at The Crossing Church in Geneva, Alabama, and serves as the assistant director of Crossover Ministry, a residential drug treatment program in Opp, Alabama. With a heart for restoration and discipleship, Red is deeply committed to helping individuals find freedom, purpose, and lasting transformation.

A follower of Jesus Christ above all else, Red’s life is a testimony of God’s grace. He is a recovering methamphetamine addict with over 20 years of sobriety, using his story to bring hope to those facing addiction and life-controlling struggles.

Red attended the University of Alabama as a walk-on athlete (1993–1994) and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from the Baptist University of Florida. His ministry is rooted in both biblical truth and real-life experience, allowing him to connect authentically with people from all walks of life.

He is married to his wife, Vicki, and together they are blessed with four children: Dale (wife Morgan), Ashley, Lily, and Elishua. Whether in the pulpit, in counseling, or in everyday life, Red’s mission is to point others to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

This 4-person scramble isn’t just about great golf—it’s about fueling a local men’s ministry that’s changing lives. Proceeds support monthly Armor Up events, where men gather for a free steak dinner, real stories of life change, and encouragement in their walk with Christ.

Storyteller:

Logan McCoy serves as the Baptist Campus Minister at Troy University, where he is passionate about equipping college students to follow Jesus, share their faith, and become leaders in the local church and on mission. He provides pastoral care, discipleship training, and leadership development for students involved in Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM), helping them navigate college life through the lens of biblical truth.

Logan holds to Southern Baptist beliefs and is committed to gospel-centered ministry that flows from God’s Word. His heart is to see students come to know Christ, grow in Christ, and go out to serve Christ in their communities and across the world.

Whether leading Bible studies, preaching on campus, or just grabbing coffee with a student, Logan strives to be a steady, relational presence and a faithful guide during one of the most formative seasons of life.

In his free time, you can find Logan enjoying good conversations, mentoring young leaders, or spending time with his family and friends.

David Cox is a retired military pilot, devoted husband to his wife Melanie of 33 years, and a proud father of two and grandfather to six. After a life of service in the military, David now focuses on what he considers his greatest calling—his faith in Jesus Christ. Deeply passionate about becoming everything Jesus paid for through His sacrifice, David is committed to growing in his walk with Christ and helping others do the same. He spends his time encouraging, discipling, and investing in people who desire to know Jesus more deeply and live out their God-given purpose.

Ryan and his family were missionaries in Honduras, where he worked with the Tolpan Tribe and his wife Philann worked with the Women of Tegucigalpa.

He has been married to Philann since 2005, they have 3 children Cobb, Clara Rose, and Ryan Philip.
