This past Sunday, we celebrated Annette Erickson's 80th birthday during our coffee hour. Annette serves many roles for TLC, and we wish her a very blessed year ahead.
💐 On top of that, all moms, including those who fill this role in the lives of others not their own, were lucky to receive a beautiful rose that Pastor had John & Zoe help pass out after the children's sermon. Thank You for this beautiful gift.

This Sunday, April 26, will be “Quilt Sunday” at Troy Lutheran.
A HUGE Thank You to all our quilters who were able to finish 123 quilts this year. That's AMAZING!
The quilt tops were made throughout the winter by various people working on them in their homes. Then every Tuesday, starting in January, many loving hands tied and bound all these quilts.
All the quilts will be blessed during worship Sunday and then will be packed for shipment to Lutheran World Relief on Tuesday, April 28.
Since 1945, Lutheran World Relief sends an average of 300,000 quilts to people in East and West Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East. The U.S. Lutheran World Relief Mission Quilts are highly regarded throughout the world because of their quality and consistency.
Let Us Pray: Lord, may these quilts be a source of Hope. May they serve a useful purpose in the life of the recipients, whether warmth in the cold, shelter from the sun, wind and heat, a wall for a home, a carrier for a few precious belongings.
Bless these quilts and all who receive them as those who made them are a blessing. Sew us together in love. Amen. 🙏

This 3rd Sunday of Easter, everyone made bookmarks for Tanzania during coffee hour. ☕️

"Today's gospel begins with two disciples walking to Emmaus, overcome with sadness, loss, and disappointment. They had hoped Jesus, who was crucified, would be the one to redeem Israel! Yet the risen Christ walks with them, and then opens their eyes in the breaking of the bread. Each Sunday our hearts burn within us as the scriptures are proclaimed and Christ appears to us as bread is broken and wine is poured. GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE, Friday, April 03 at 6:30 pm.
"Life and death stand side by side as we enter into Good Friday. In John’s passion account, Jesus reveals the power and glory of God, even as he is put on trial and sentenced to death. Standing with the disciples at the foot of the cross, we pray for the whole world in the ancient bidding prayer, as Christ’s death offers life to all. We gather in solemn devotion, but always with the promise that the tree around which we assemble is indeed a tree of life. We depart silently, and we anticipate the culmination of the Three Days in the Easter Vigil." ~ Sundays and Seasons
