Some of the local women gathered to do some traditional food preparation and cooking. The sense of community here is such a blessing to experience.

The kids at Strobelt Primary School treated us to some traditional dancing. The rattles at the bottom of their legs are made from dried mango seeds. I absolutely love the drumming that accompanies the dancing. ~Pr. Pat

While Pastor Pat & Angie are away, TLC has some wonderful leaders who are stepping up. Today, Henrianne Westberg did an outstanding job of preaching the gospel of Matthew 9:35--10:8.
"Moses tells the Israelites that they are called to be a priestly kingdom and a holy people. Jesus sends out the disciples as laborers into the harvest. In baptism, we too are anointed for ministry, sharing God's compassion with our needy world. Pr. Pat and the traveling cohort visited the Lugala Hospital and medical college today. All the medical and support staff are doing a wonderful job at doing God's work in healing the communities in the area. I (Pr. Pat) even got to bless two newborn babies. They were so precious and beautiful. Later in the afternoon Charlie, Todd, and I joined the school boys in a game of soccer. What a wonderful day!!!

Habari za jioni (good evening) from Ifikara, Tanzania. Its been a long few days without steady internet service. Today, we left Mikumi Nat'l Park after a couple of days on safari. Tomorrow we head to Malinyl where we will spend several days at the Tumaimi Lutheran School and the Lugala Lutheran Hospital. We miss you all and keep you in our prayers. More to come...

This past Sunday, we celebrated Annette Erickson's 80th birthday during our coffee hour. Annette serves many roles for TLC, and we wish her a very blessed year ahead.
💐 On top of that, all moms, including those who fill this role in the lives of others not their own, were lucky to receive a beautiful rose that Pastor had John & Zoe help pass out after the children's sermon. Thank You for this beautiful gift.
