Abide in Christ & Be Fruitful
Scripture: John 15:1–8 (CSB)

Spiritual fruit is the evidence of a life continually abiding in Jesus Christ. This message challenges us to move beyond church activity and cultivate a daily relationship with Jesus—the True Vine and our source of spiritual life.

Main points:
* Jesus is the True Vine. Lasting spiritual strength and fruitfulness come from Him.
* Abiding requires daily connection. Remain in Christ through prayer, His Word, trust, and obedience.
* The Father prunes for greater growth. Surrender attitudes, habits, and distractions that hinder your fruitfulness.
* Abiding transforms our lives and prayers. His Word shapes our character and aligns our desires with His will.
* Our fruit brings glory to God. A life that reflects Christ blesses others and demonstrates genuine discipleship.

Your next step: Be attached to the Vine, abide in the Vine, and be available for His work.

DO YOU REALLY KNOW GOD? — Seeing Him Through Jesus Christ

Read: John 14:7–14

We can know ABOUT someone without actually KNOWING them. We may know the accomplishments of athletes, celebrities, and influential people, but that doesn’t mean we have a personal relationship with them.

The same is true of our relationship with God. Knowing facts about Him is not the same as knowing Him personally!

In this Sunday’s message, “Knowing God — Seeing Him,” Jesus tells Philip:

“He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” — John 14:9

Jesus reveal the Father’s character, nature, love, holiness, and glory. Through Christ, we can move beyond a superficial Sunday-morning services and experience the transforming power of a personal relationship with God!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Knowing God is more than knowing facts. He desires an intimate relationship with you.

God reveals Himself through Jesus Christ. In Jesus, we see the heart and character of the Father.

God wants to dwell within you. Through the Holy Spirit, we experience His abiding presence—not just a momentary visitation!

Knowing Him changes how we live. The Holy Spirit works through us to accomplish God’s purposes and glorify His name.

Jesus promises that those who believe in Him will do His works and even greater works (John 14:12), through the power of the Holy Spirit.

THE QUESTION IS: Do you simply know ABOUT God, or are you growing in your relationship WITH God?

YOUR NEXT STEPS:

- Spend time in God’s Word.

- Make prayer a daily time of conversating with your Heavenly Father.

- Surrender to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you.

- Let God work through you for His glory.

- Don’t settle for knowing about God when you can know Him personally!

Is your heart troubled? Are you carrying worry about your family, your health, your future, or a loss that has stirred or disturbed your world?

Jesus speaks hope into our uncertainty: Believe in God. Believe also in Him. Trouble is real, but it does not have to steal your hope. You can trust the Savior who loves you, overcame the world, and promises to be with His people forever.

Jesus told His disciples that He was going away to prepare a place for them—and that He would return to receive them to Himself. What a promise! Our hope reaches beyond today’s circumstances into eternity with Him.

But how do we get there?

Jesus answered:
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” — John 14:6

• JESUS IS THE WAY.
We cannot earn salvation through good deeds, buy it, or secure it through church attendance. Jesus gave His life for our sins and rose again. Through Him, we can be forgiven and reconciled to God.

• JESUS IS THE TRUTH.
When the world offers conflicting answers, His Word gives us truth we can trust. He calls us to turn from sin and place our faith in Him.

• JESUS IS THE LIFE.
He offers new life now and eternal life with Him. Your past does not have to define your future. In Christ, you can become a new creation!

Have you accepted Jesus as Lord of your life? Have you drifted away and long to return? Today, respond to His invitation. You do not have to fix everything before coming to Him.

Romans 10:9–13 teaches us to confess Jesus as Lord, believe that God raised Him from the dead, and call on Him for salvation.

• You can pray:
“Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Forgive me. I turn from my sin and place my trust in You. I confess You as Lord and surrender my life to You for the rest of my life. Help me follow You each and every day. Amen.”

Your next step is a response of faith—not simply repeating words.

• Trust Jesus and surrender your worries to Him.
• Read John 14:1–6 and reflect on His promises.
• Connect with a church family (community) that will help you grow.
