Lord, have mercy.
Your little ones were taken from us today while gathered at your altar. We can hardly breathe under the weight of it.

Hold these children close in Your arms. Hold their mothers who will never again tuck them in. Hold their fathers, their siblings, their friends, their teachers. Hold every parent whose heart trembles with fear sending their children into the world.

Jesus, we weep with You now.
Bring comfort where there are no words, and give us courage to be peacemakers in a world that so desperately needs Your light.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon them. ✨

The Feast of Corpus Christi, while observed by the Church of England and some other Anglican provinces, is not included on the official liturgical calendar of The Episcopal Church. Nevertheless, the feast is observed in some parishes, and Episcopalians do believe in and celebrate the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
