   What originally started as selecting a family to help out eventually became asking for coat donations for a specific school in the area.  It was then that we knew there was a great need in the upper peninsula for winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats, gloves, mittens, and blankets.

It's that time of year again and The Healing Loft could really use your cash contributions to purchase winter coats.
There are over 62,000 children receiving free lunches in the UP and Northern Michigan. These families often have to choose between warmth and groceries, gas to get to work, and/or utility bills. No parent should have to make these choices.
In these times there seems to be little hope. Your gift will express Jesus' Love for them and will let them know they are not forgotten.
All funds raised will purchase coats at reduced cost to supplement the coat drive donations. We have expanded to include the Northern Lower Peninsula and your partnership will give many children the gift of warmth during the cold winters.
Your $100 donation will purchase up to 20 coats! That's 20 children who will be staying warm this winter!

The Healing Loft, based in Trout Lake, Michigan, is a nonprofit ministry. We’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to help those in the Upper Peninsula of who need it most while reflecting Jesus' unconditional love. Our projects have included supplying food pantries and winter coats.
