Tomorrow, as we continue our What God Didn’t Say series, we’re going to look at what Scripture actually teaches about our hearts, our emotions, our identity, and the truth we are called to live by.

Our feelings are real—but they were never meant to be our highest authority.

Jesus did not say, “Follow your heart.”

He said, “Follow Me.”

Join us tomorrow as we learn how to be honest about what we feel without being ruled by it, how to train our hearts through God’s Word, and how to let Jesus have the final say.

Don’t follow your heart—follow Jesus.

Day 5 — Friday, May 1 - "The Mission Continues Through You"
Tied to Sermon Point 5: Your Personal Mission

Happy Friday, church family! As we close out this week together, I want you to carry this truth into the weekend: The Great Commission wasn't just for the twelve on the mountain that day — it's for you, right where you are. In your home. In your workplace. In your neighborhood.

You are called. You are empowered. You are sent. God's mission on earth continues through ordinary people who say "yes" — and that includes you. What did God speak to your heart this week? Hold on to it. Live it out. The mission continues.

Scripture: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." — Acts 1:8

Reflection: What is one thing God spoke to you this week that you will carry into the weekend and beyond?

"Never Alone"
Tied to Sermon Point 4: The Promise: Jesus Is With Us
Good morning, beloved! Here's what I keep coming back to this week: the Great Commission doesn't end with a command — it ends with a promise. "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." In the hard conversations. In the uncertain moments. In the seasons of waiting when you can't see what's ahead. He is right there with you. You never go alone. Not into Monday's chaos, not into Thursday's weariness, not into any season. Let that promise settle deep in your heart today.

Scripture: "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." — Psalm 23:4

Reflection: Where do you need to be reminded of His presence today?

Pastor's Sermon Devotional Day 3 — Wednesday, April 29
"More Than Converts — We Make Disciples"
Tied to Sermon Point 3: The Mission: Make Disciples

Hey church! Midweek check-in: Jesus didn't say "make fans." He said "make disciples." And there's a big difference. Discipleship is personal. It's messy. It's sitting across the table from someone and saying, "I'm walking with you." It's teaching, encouraging, praying together, and growing side by side. You don't need a seminary degree to do this — you just need to be willing to invest in someone. One conversation. One prayer. One shared meal. That's where it starts.
Scripture: "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." — 2 Timothy 2:2

Reflection: Who is someone you can invest in this week — even with just a conversation, a prayer, or a shared meal?

"One Step of Obedience"
Tied to Sermon Point 2: We Are Called to Go
Happy Tuesday, friends! One of the things I love about Jesus is that He doesn't ask us to have it all figured out before we move. He just says, "Go." And here's the beautiful part — going doesn't always mean going far. Sometimes it means going next door. Going to a co-worker. Going back to someone you've been avoiding. Obedience starts with one step. Just one. Ask the Lord today, "Who are You sending me to?" — and then take that step.

Scripture: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'" — Isaiah 6:8

Reflection: Who is one person God is putting on your heart to reach out to today?

Day 1 — Monday, April 27
"His Authority, Your Confidence"
Tied to Sermon Pt 1: Jesus Has All Authority
Good morning, church family! As you step into this new week, I want to remind you of where we started yesterday — with the words of Jesus: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me." You don't have to figure it all out today. You don't have to carry the weight of every decision, every worry, or every unknown. The One who holds all authority is already ahead of you. Whatever you're facing this Monday — a hard conversation, an uncertain situation, a heavy heart — you are backed by the King of Kings. Rest in that truth today.

Scripture: "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.'" — Matthew 28:18

Reflection: What's one area of your life where you need to stop striving and start trusting His authority?
