It's a beautiful Saturday morning, praise the Lord. If you are looking for a small church service tomorrow that offers old hymns and learning about Jesus, come join us at Bowman's Chapel Methodist Church. We start at 10:30, there's Sunday school for all ages. Snacks are provided for the kiddos. We'd love to see you there!!

Oh the times we live in.. I have seen our God move in ways unimaginable this past week and I believe it's because of the unwavering faith of His people.
I have unfortunately been revealed to the destruction of the devil as well. You cannot deny the power of God and the miracles performed but the devil will rear his head and cause doubt and fear that lead to 'conspiracy theories'. I've seen it in many comments, and the laughter at prayer and devotion of God's people. I say all of this to remind you of who we all are in Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:13-18
13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Stay faithful friends for God is always with us. 🤍

Let us remember to Thank the Lord for the things we have prayed and remember who loves us and provides for us. ❤️

“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, ‘Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God…’” Luke 17: 15-18, NKJV.

Nine of the l***rs went on to enjoy their blessing. They forgot what Jesus had done for them. But, like a bill that’s due, one of the l***rs Jesus healed felt the Lord was due glory and praise. He realized all that the Lord had done for him. What this meant for his life. I am sure he thought about how this blessing he just received was going to change everything and was very, very grateful.

Look around and think about everything the Lord has done for you. He has kept you. When you needed money, He brought it to you on time. He has been answering your heartfelt prayers. He’s been healing and restoring you beyond what others will ever truly know–but you know. There is a divine work of the heart that you can’t express that the Father has done and is doing in your life.

He’s rescued your life and has been so good, even in a pandemic. He’s changed everything for you. Like the one l***r, come back and thank Him.

Challenge: Praise the Lord for 15 minutes. Take the time not to ask anything of Him, but to give Him thanks. With great gratitude, thank Him for all He has done. Give Him due praise. Give Him the glory for it all, and bless His great name.

'Cast your cares on him'

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

It's Monday again and the devil has already began to destroy your week. Stress and worry have crept in and already we are overwhelmed about what is ahead and how we will get it all done. But wait! We must remember the devil has been defeated by our Lord and Savior, and he holds no ransom over us. So together lets take a deep breath and remember that our Father in Heaven has already made a way for us, we just simply need to take a deep breath and pray.

Prayer: Father God, because you care for me, I thank you that I can cast my cares, every one of them, upon you. I see the devil’s scheme to load me down with cares. I will trust in you the Almighty God. I praise you now! I will go on serving you and enjoying a free life in Christ! Help me to continually stand on the truth that you do care. You will help me, and before it even works out, I thank you in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I know this is late, but just felt like we had to pay tribute to a wonderful women that we all loved so much.

Our hearts have grieved over saying goodbye to someone that meant so much to us. Ms Kay was such a big part of our family here at Bowman Chapel. Though she had her own church, she supported this little church every chance she got. When I was young, I use to love to hear her play the piano when she would come to church with her dad, Bernard Speegle. I always wanted to play like her. She had such talent. It wasn’t until later in the years I really got to know her and found out there was something else I admired, even more than her piano playing, it was her faith! What a Godly woman! Anyone that knew her, or even just met her, would know it right away. I am so thankful to the Lord for the years we got to spend with her when Keith became our Pastor.
Over the last years, she has had to endure hardships that most of us could never know. Her losses have been many, but she never gave up her faith in the Lord. She never lost her smile. Though her heart would be so heavy sometimes, she knew, she would someday be reunited with those that had gone on, and she held dearly to that. What an inspiration she was to so many. And though, I never learned to play the piano like Kay, I learned something even greater, trust in the Lord, keep your faith, and HE will see you through.
We continue to pray for comfort and strength for this family in the loss of this precious lady.

Thank you Daphna Freeman for always honoring the Veteran's that have passed on and involving the next generation to carry on such a precious tradition.
