Virginia School of Ministry

Virginia School of Ministry Who’s to say what’s “normal”? As we look around, we see clearly that modern American culture has defined things which are “normal,” and things which aren't.

A young adult christian Discipleship and Leadership school in northern Virginia focused on discipleship, leadership, colege education, missions, performing arts, worship, visual arts, and outreach to the community. There’s a saying that goes, “’Normal’ is just a setting on the dryer.” Our creative God uniquely designs each of us with different personalities, strengths and passions. Some behaviors,

values and beliefs are accepted, while others are called strange, weird…even crazy. It seems the standards for “normal” are continuously changing, and increasingly, biblical truths are being challenged. There’s nothing new under the sun. Today’s culture resembles the spiritual environment Jesus lived in 2,000 years ago. But He came to show us a “new normal,” and he told us we could do everything he did, and more. You love God with all your heart. You know Him personally, and you want to tell the world they can know Him, too. You can’t help it—it just bursts out of your heart. You are not content to sit on a pew and listen to sermon after sermon while living life on your own terms. You want to reflect the Love of God to other people so they can experience freedom. You want to see the miraculous the way the New Testament church did. Virginia School of Ministry is not a “normal” school, as the world defines it. If you want “normal,” then it probably isn't the place for you. But if you want to have hands-on training from people who are already walking in the miraculous and the prophetic, who have seen sick people recover, captives set free, and have knocked the devil off his feet, then you are about to begin the greatest adventure of a lifetime. Don’t settle for “normal.” Experience the abundant life that Jesus lived and gave to each one of us that chooses to follow him. Let us show you how.

Good morning Facebook friends and family!! This scripture came to mind while doing my morning devotions. Matthew 24 is a call to be empowered by God and do life together. As the Body of Christ, we are to be living proof of a loving God to those around us. Verse 25 is even more important because it’s God speaking to us about not forsaking the assembly, meaning we need to go to church to be around our fellow Christian’s.
Forsaking fellowship gives place to discouragement, doubt, and depression. They multiply in isolation. When there is no fellowship, there is no stirring up love or exhorting one another.
