35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 3

8 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32

It is unfortunate, in today’s world, that one needs to be reminded to be kind. Often, we become quite self-centered, concerned only with ourselves, annoyed with anyone or anything that prevents our day from going smoothly. If we look beyond ourselves, we will see others facing the same struggles, hardships, and frustrations. Think of a time someone showed you an unexpected kindness. Perhaps a stranger lent a hand, and was gone before you had a chance to thank them. Even the smallest act of kindness can leave a big impression. If we can remind ourselves of the greatest act of love, and forgive others, as God in Christ forgave us, there is not a soul on this earth who is not deserving of our kindness. Jesus died for all.

Please join us for Worship- The Service of the Word – Wednesdays at 4:15. Our Food & Clothing Distribution follows from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. All are welcome to attend.

We give thanks to the Lord for all who made this week’s food distribution possible. Special thanks to our Food Ministry Family of volunteers! Kindness is second nature to these fine individuals. Not only on Wednesdays, but throughout the week, helping those in need in our community.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Little ones are always welcome at the Ark. Children’s bulletins are available at worship, each with a lesson and coloring page. Holidays offer extra-special treats. This week we have been blessed with many items for infants and young children. From ride-on toys to baby bathtubs, and everything in between.
We often receive numerous, and most welcome, donations for children – favorite foods, bakery treats, shoes, clothing, books, and toys. Our brothers and sisters in Christ, along with our grocery associates, and members of the community always keep the children in mind. There is an ongoing need for diapers (especially sizes 4,5,& 6) and baby wipes. Baby food and formula are also in short supply. Any and all donations of these items will be a tremendous blessing to our little ones in need.

Thank you to Dr. Vanessa Gattis and the Prince William County Community Foundation for their most generous donation this week of canned goods and other much-needed nonperishables. We received cases of canned fruits and vegetables, pastas, peanut butter and jelly! These are critical to our grocery distribution, often requiring purchase out of pocket when donated supplies run low. We will continue to receive these wonderful gifts from PWCCF. A tremendous blessing from God’s hand to our table.

Many thanks to all who made this week’s distribution possible:

Happy Armed Forces Day to all who serve! 🇺🇸

Happy Armed Forces Day! We thank God for the men and women serving in every branch of our military. Their courage and dedication are a powerful reminder of what it means to serve with honor and selflessness. Today, we lift them up in prayer and gratitude.

“He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts 1:7-11

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

Yesterday, the sun shone brightly, and many donations of food were received. Showers across the region today did not prevent God’s additional bounty from reaching the Ark. Each new week brings tremendous blessings; there is always food for all. God will provide.

He works through the hearts and hands of our volunteers, our brothers and sisters in Christ in neighboring churches, our generous grocery associates, and many kind souls, often anonymously, who provide all manner of items for those in need in our community.

Please join us for Worship – The Service of the Word – Wednesdays at 4:15. All are welcome to attend. Our Food and Clothing Distribution follows from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. Be sure to check the clothing racks, as many new items have arrived.

We give thanks to the Lord for all who continue to support the Food Ministry through prayer, donations, and time-volunteered.

Once again, we are truly blessed, and in awe of the most generous donations received this week from local stores, churches, and friends. Once again, concerns regarding the amount of food available – would there be enough - vanished on Wednesday morning, when additional and substantial amounts of produce and meat became available. The loaves and fishes in modern times, from God’s hand to our table, He will provide.

We are ever so grateful for our wonderful Food Ministry Family of volunteers, who serve faithfully and joyfully each and every week. Join us and see! If you are not in our area, please do look into opportunities to volunteer near you. “Love thy neighbor” is the easiest thing to do. Contact local nursing homes. Visit a resident who has no family or visitors. Sometimes a simple phone call can make someone’s day. If you are able, pick up groceries from a local church or food pantry and deliver to someone who has no transportation. The opportunities are endless.

We give thanks to the Lord each day for all who give selflessly of their time to ensure the needs of families in our community are met. Food for the body and food for the soul are here for all.

Thank you to all our brothers and sisters in Christ:
