Yesterday during worship we recognized our Faith Formation leaders who lead week after week in our Sunday School, Jr. Lutherans/WOW, Confirmation and Cell Group ministries. We are thankful for their commitment to walk alongside our youth in their faith journey, teaching them about Jesus and His love for them. Be sure to say thank you when you see them! ❤️

Would you be willing to serve as a Teller in May? We have a few spots open.

We also need volunteers to serve as Welcome Team at 9:30 a.m. on May 31.

Send an email to Janine at [email protected] or comment below if you are able to help.

A reminder that we do ask for two tellers each week from different families. Thanks!

Today is Administrative Professionals Day! While much of Janine's work is done behind the scenes, online, on the weekends, or later evenings, she does a great job of keeping the church running. We know that we can walk in on Sunday morning and we'll find the things we need to lead worship. She takes care of financial things and wrangles volunteers. She's always willing to make sure our contracts are in good order and manages the database. We couldn't do all the public-facing things at church without her! Thanks for all you do, Janine!

Last Monday the council met and one of the questions that arose was, "what is our mission?" As we think about future visioning processes, this question is something we are all called to reflect on. It is a question that the ELCA churchwide organization keeps before them as they do their work.

Day 2 of Western Iowa Synod ELCA Assembly! Today, we do a bit of business as we connect around conversation wonderful ministries happening around us. So far, we've raised $11,000 for the Pig Project. We also learned that last year, this synod gave $124,000+ to ELCA World Hunger some of which St. Paul was responsible for providing!

We had a great conversation at Brewed Theology tonight with our topic, Afterlife: Resurrection, body, soul, and what's next. We didn't arrive at lots of answers as that's not the point of these conversations. We left with shared experiences and much more to think about. As we walked out of Silos, this was the view! It felt like a reminder of God's gift of resurrection.

Thank you to Savannah and Silos for being such great hosts for our gathering. We'll take a break with Brewed Theology for the summer. Stayed tuned for a possible different summer opportunity.
