โ€œI will die rather than worship that foul idol, which with your Mass you make a god.โ€ - Anne Asknew

Anne Askew was a young English woman who chose death rather than deny her faith during the English Reformation. Arrested for her Protestant beliefs, she was tortured in the Tower of London and burned at the stake in 1546 at only about 25 years old. Even under unbearable suffering, she refused to betray others or abandon her convictions, becoming one of the most courageous and enduring martyrs of Christian history.
