Historic moment for Lutherans in Kenya

Thousands gathered today for the consecration and installation of Bishop Catherine Ngina Musau as the new leader of the Kenya Evangelical Lutheran Church (KELC). She is the first woman bishop of the church.

In her address, Bishop Musau urged Christians to build bridges instead of walls, preserve unity amid diversity, serving one another in love.

Join us today as we celebrate the Holy Trinity Sunday and give thanks for the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

As we gather for worship, we rejoice in God's abundant grace and steadfast love. Through Word and Sacrament, God continues to call, gather, enlighten, and send us into the world to share Christ's love with our neighbors.

✝️ Welcome back, Pastor Jack! It was such a joy to have Pastor Jack back with us this week.

❤️ A heartfelt thank you to John Hartig for leading our worship services over the last two weeks, and to Win Kurlfink and Mike Harris for sharing God’s Word through their sermons. We are blessed by the support from our church family.

❤️ This Sunday we also celebrated Pentecost Sunday! The church was beautifully dressed in red as we remembered the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church.

❤️ A special highlight from the morning was when our children taught us all about axolotls! Thank you to our young people for sharing their enthusiasm and helping us all learn something new.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the men of the church and community to connect, encourage one another, and grow in friendship and faith.
