FBC Trenton Women of The Word
We exist to help women flourish as students of the Bible, grow in Bible literacy, and put feet to our proclamation. Flourish as students of the Bible:
We as a body of women will learn how to study the Bible well for ourselves by learning how to dissect Biblical text with the help of the Spirit and useful tools such as commentaries, wise council, and discernment thro
ugh prayer. We will wrestle with tough texts and learn to sit in the unknown as we wait for clarity. Grow in Bible Literacy:
We as a body of women will strive to grow in our understanding of the Word as a whole. We will see that the gospel is the scarlet thread that runs from Genesis to Revelation. We will humbly confess that we always have things to learn and pray for wisdom and discernment from the Spirit as we dive into His word and grow in knowledge of theology, doctrine, and Bible stories. We will see that all things, big or small, in scripture point to Christ. Put feet to our proclamation:
We as a body of women will not only grow in our understanding of our Faith and in Godliness, but we will learn to be a good disciple that goes and makes disciples. We understand that it is our job to fulfill the great commission and great commandment. We will make it our aim to pour out ourselves to those in our church and in our community.
