Our hearts are sad for the family of James Earl Scott. James went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. He was 79 years old. James was born in Murfreesboro, TN, on June 9, 1947. He loved God, his family, and his country.

James was a friend of Silent Word Ministries and served the Lord at the Bill Rice Ranch from 1976 through 1993. We will miss him!

Please pray for Thelma Scott, his loving wife of 57 years, and their family.

Four churches were represented.

SWM Deaf missionary Allen Snare, who played "Gordy" in When Silence Speaks, has been serving God in ministry for 50 years! This movie is similar to Allen's life story. A great movie for Deaf movie night or outreach!
