Grand Traverse House of Prayer Our desire is to bring honor and glory to God our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ through night and day worship and prayer in Traverse City, Michigan.

In the spring of 2009 a group of believers from around northern Michigan began to meet every Tuesday night to see God move in the area. Slowly God began to do just that and add to their numbers. By 2012 they landed in a more permanent home on the corner of S. Airport and Garfield. In addition to having a prayer room which is open over 50 hours a week, they also have a thriving business. The idea w

as to have a sustainable "model" of a House of Prayer. One that will continue to run without having to be beholden to weekly giving in the traditional sense. With that in mind, the ministry planted a house of prayer and a coffee shop; the two complimenting each other. GTHOP relies heavily on the local church for staffing, as well as, a dedicated staff which gives 20 plus hours a week to the functioning of the House of Prayer. These dedicated staff raise their own support financially and work jobs as well. This also helps GTHOP sustain long-term. MINISTRY FUNCTION:
GTHOP’s primary ministry is to establish a 24/7 Prayer Room in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David; a temple for continual praise, worship, thanksgiving and prayer. This is a city wide/regional interdenominational Christian Prayer Room. Location:

We are so thankful for the service of the men and women in our armed forces who have laid down their lives for our freedom! In honor of their memory, we are closing the Prayer Room for this entire week. We will resume our normal hours next week, including a power-packed Encountering Jesus Service on Monday night (June 2nd) at 6:30 PM with Tim & Chris Mann teaching on the power of praying in the Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit! See you then!!
