It might just be a cow grazing in the last golden moments of the day while the rest of us are rushing somewhere.

Then again, some of Spirit's best lessons show up looking like something ordinary.

Learn to recognize abundance in its simplest forms.
And may you find an ordinary thing beautiful enough to stop for.

Bananas are Caribbean kitchen magic to me.

Big leaves.
Delicious fruit.
Sweetness surviving hardship.

They’re connected to prosperity, resilience, abundance, community, and quite often given as offerings.

Plants can become part of people’s stories. They are definitely a part of mine.
They make me think of aunties cooking.
Street markets.
Warm kitchens.
People feeding each other with love.

Florida Water instantly feels like home to me.
The smell of it hits some deep nostalgia trigger in my brain every single time.

Clean floors.
Open windows.
Morning light.
Somebody tryin’ to make sure the energy in the house begins with its best foot forward.

You wipe things down with it.
Spray it around the doorway.
Use it on the altar.
Freshen the air.
Clear the mood.
Reset yourself a little.

At the shop, we used to spray it around the entrance and the prosperity altar every morning before opening up for the day.

Now I spray it around the house whenever the mood strikes me.
Which apparently means I spend a good portion of my life running around like some weird little dancing fairy farting a fragrant mist into the air.
Whatever, man… my husband still loves me.

But honestly, it’s comforting to have these little rituals as part of your everyday life.

Little moments of care.
Little resets.
Little ways of saying:
“I want peace in this space.”

Check this big fella out!
I love sharing space with tiny dinosaurs and jungle spirits.

Iguanas carry messages from the universe, so I like hanging out with them, maybe a little longer than most.

I get excited every time I spot one stretched out in the trees, soaking up the sun.
They have been around for millions of years! Like dude, tell me all your secrets!

And it’s pretty cool living so close to wild things.
You start feeling like part of the wild world instead of just peeking in at it.

Also, the fact that he posed in the bougainvillea like this is huge protection vibes.
Sweet little jungle guardian. They are so cool!

Eggs are connected to protection, cleansing, life, and spiritual work.

I mean, how could they not be with the way a shell gently protects what’s inside of it?

In folk traditions and conjure, eggshell powder is used for protection work, spiritual cleansing, and creating boundaries around yourself and your space.

And of course… there’s the egg cleanse.

If you grew up around certain traditions, chances are somebody at some point rubbed an egg over you to pull off heavy energy, bad luck, sickness, or spiritual mess.

I’ve been thinking about making a video talking about egg cleanses, and how you can read the egg afterward once it’s cracked into water.
Would anyone be interested in something like that?

Also, fun fact! These eggs came from what started as a tiny fenced-off safe space in our yard for an injured neighborhood chicken and her babies.

Now it’s basically a full-blown animal sanctuary back there. 🤣 I regret nothing!

Everything is connected here.

Last night we bought a bag of these from a man selling them on the street, and they were SO good.

Fresh fruit.
Neighbors talking out in the streets.
Music playing throughout the neighbourhood.
An evening breeze off the ocean helping to cool down the day.
These little everyday moments feel like magic to me.

Living a simpler life has brought about such an amazing shift in my sight.

You slow down.
You notice things more.
Food tastes better.
Community feels more real.

Anyway… I just thought this was beautiful and wanted to share it with you, my friends.

Red Love Salt might be one of my favorite things I make.
It feels like a little jar of Donna-Summer-groaning-through-Love-to-Love-You-Baby energy.

Love work can look like lighting a candle,
taking a long bath,
smelling good,
feeling connected to yourself,
and loving the life you’re living.

I love adding this to a bath before a date night, self-care night, or honestly anytime I wanna feel a little more magnetic and adored by the universe.

You can also use it in love work charm bags, candle rituals, around an altar, or even sprinkle some under your bed. 😉
Bonus points if you add a loadstone to your working.

It smells SO good, and it makes you feel all soft and romantic.

Look who decided to stop by last night.

This little tree frog has been hanging out on my plants, and I swear… moments like this still feel magical to me every single time.

Tiny little guardian of the garden.

I love how living close to the land changes the way you notice things.

These sorts of encounters always feel like little reminders to stay soft, observant, connected, and present.

Anyway… I just had to share this sweet little face with y’all.

Also… can we please acknowledge the accidental Caravaggio lighting in this photo? Because I’m kinda obsessed with it.

Okay y’all…
Let me introduce you to Turnsole.

It’s been used for healing, grounding, protection, and warding off harm.
Honestly, how perfect for home.
Its flowers follow the sun, which is why it’s connected to vitality, endurance, strength, and life force energy too.

I just found it growing in my backyard here in Mexico.
I love these sorts of gifts.

I have so enjoyed building a relationship with the land around me.
Realizing the things you need have been growing around you the whole time is a special kinda magic.
You can see Spirit and your ancestors constantly trying to hand you things if you take the time to be present and notice them.

This plant already meant something to me.
And now here it is, showing up on its own.
I can’t even explain how cool this is, my friends.

Thank you, ancestors.
Thank you, Spirit.
Thank you to the land for bonding with me little by little.
