Sermon Recap: Holy Forever

In Isaiah 6, everything changed when Isaiah saw God for who He truly is.

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up...” (Isaiah 6:1)

When everything around him felt uncertain, God was still on the throne.

This week's message reminded us that God isn't reacting to what's happening in our lives; He is reigning over it. In our grief, confusion, anxiety, and struggles, God remains holy, sovereign, and worthy of our worship.

Isaiah's response wasn't pride. It was surrender.

"Woe is me."

Before God could send Isaiah, He first had to transform him. Before God uses us, He often breaks down our self-sufficiency so we can fully depend on Him.

The challenge was simple:
Are we living only for the small dash of time we have on earth, or are we living with eternity in mind?

And God is still asking the same question today:

"Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" (Isaiah 6:8)

May our response be the same as Isaiah's:

"Here I am. Send me."

This summer, we’re combining the best of missions and camp into one powerful week! Students will have the opportunity to serve and grow as we spend the week making a difference in the community of Travelers Rest. If you are an adult and want to help serve in this please email Austin at [email protected]. We will need some help working alongside students in serving and doing some of these projects.

Our mission projects will include things like yard work and showing simple acts of kindness to people in the community.

In the evenings, we’ll come back together for high-energy worship services where students can celebrate what God is doing, hear teaching from God’s Word, and grow deeper in their faith alongside other students. While we had originally planned for us to have host home groups, we will instead be having our small groups after the worship time, leading into our fun events for each night.

We’ll wrap up the week with a fun Celebration Day on Thursday at Frankie's Fun Park, where our group will go out and enjoy time together after a week of hard work and meaningful impact.

Cost: $50 per student (includes all food, supplies, and fun things we do)

This is a great opportunity for students to live out their faith, build friendships, and be part of something bigger than themselves!

Words are small… but their impact is massive.

Starting June 7th, we’re diving into James 3 in our brand new series: The Tongue.

Our words can heal or hurt.
Build up or tear down.
Point people toward Jesus or away from Him.

This series is all about learning how to surrender our speech, conversations, reactions, and everyday words to God in a world full of noise, outrage, gossip, and division.

James says:
“The tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts.” — James 3:5

VBS is almost here and we are SO excited for Finding Jesus: Under The Sea!

June 23–25 | 5:30PM–8PM 🐢

We’re inviting families to get their kids signed up now for three nights full of worship, games, teaching, laughter, friendships, and learning more about Jesus in a fun and unforgettable way.

We’re also opening volunteer registration for those who want to help make a difference in the lives of kids this summer. Whether you love leading games, helping with crafts, connecting with families, or simply creating a safe and welcoming environment, there’s a place for you to serve.

Registration for kids and volunteers is officially OPEN.
Spots are available while space and volunteer capacity lasts, so don’t wait too long to sign up!

🎶 NIGHT OF WORSHIP 🎶 | Sunday, May 31st • 6:30PM

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been talking about what it means to be Burdened: Burdened for Love, for Hope, for the Lost, for Justice, and for Eternity.
And now, we are gathering together to respond.

This night is about unifying our hearts and minds around the One who changes everything: Jesus. A night to worship freely. A night to pray together. A night to lift up the King of Kings with one voice as the Church. We believe God wants to stir something deeper in us: A greater love for people. A deeper hope in Christ. A burden for those far from God. A passion for justice, mercy, and eternity. Whether you come full of faith or simply needing to be refreshed, this night is for you. As we close out our Burdened Series, Let's Come together and be the church.
