Our devotional journey asks the question:

What is my stewardship revealing about my heart?

In this Bible study, we will examine another difficult question:

Why is pride so hard to see in ourselves?

Pride is not merely thinking too highly of ourselves. Pride is the heart’s resistance to truth when truth threatens the image we want to preserve.

Through the stories of Saul and David, we will examine the difference between defensiveness and repentance, excuse-making and honesty, and the kind of heart that can still be corrected by God.

We had the pleasure and privilege today to honor this man on Father’s Day. Last year his beloved wife Donna suddenly passed away leaving him to raise their 5yr old twin sons alone. He has continued to show up for them and his church despite the challenges and grief. He inspires us to be present for others and live in the selfless way he has demonstrated. Salute to Father of the Year!

It rained for 40 days.
On day 41, it stopped.
Israel wandered 40 years.
Year 41, they walked into promise.
Jesus was tested for 40 days.
Day 41, the enemy left.
