Drinking the poison from the world’s cup
Listening to voices that lead us astray
Everyone has an opinion on the right way

Some say money is our key to success
So they work to earn enough to impress
Then others tell you that it’s all about fame
Being well known is how you win the game

Regardless of rich or poor, skinny or fat
Your earthly journey is over just like that
At the end of your life and after all the hurt
They lay you down and cover you with dirt

If you know the truth all else is a shame
The way you win is by not playing the game
Put your trust in Jesus and all that He’s done
For it is in His name that the game is won
