We were blessed to serve more than 70 guests at the FOCUS Sunday Supper on May 17. The meal, lovingly prepared by Heather Gaddis, was so warmly received that all 120 servings were joyfully shared. Children joined teens and adults in stocking and organizing the pantry, as well as serving meals to guests. In addition, 14 guests received haircuts from licensed stylist volunteers connected to our parish. Altogether, 23 volunteers came together to share Christ’s love through the gift of almsgiving.

This past Sunday, our parish family gathered with gratitude and joy to celebrate Mother’s Day and to honor two remarkable women whose love, dedication, and faithful service continue to inspire our community.

We were blessed to recognize Molly Heckenberg as our Mother of the Year, honoring her sacrificial love, kindness, devotion to her family, and the beautiful example of Christian motherhood she offers to all around her.

We also joyfully honored Jenifer Raptakis as our Woman of the Year, in recognition of her generous spirit, tireless offering to our parish, and the countless ways she strengthens and uplifts our church family through her faith and service.

Following the celebration, the parish enjoyed a beautiful reception lovingly prepared and hosted by the men of our Parish Council, whose generosity and hospitality helped make the day even more special for everyone present.

On this special day, we give thanks to God for all mothers and for all the women whose love, strength, wisdom, and quiet sacrifices become a living witness of Christ’s presence in the world.

May God grant them many blessed years filled with health, joy, and His abundant grace!

Today, after the Divine Liturgy of Great and Holy Thursday, we dyed the red eggs according to our beautiful tradition.

These red eggs will be offered as a blessing on the night of the Resurrection to all the faithful who gather to celebrate the Divine Eucharist.

We look forward to sharing the joy of Pascha with you!
