Bradford County Memorial Park

Bradford County Memorial Park The 60-acre site is located in Luther Mills and nestled in the scenic Endless Mountains. Ruthbin recognized the need for a cemetery of its type. Private John L.

Bradford County's only memorial park opened in 1945, when a group of local businessmen led by T. David Gamzon was named president of the cemetery in 1961, and served until his death in 1996. The Park is highlighted by a Bell Tower and serves as the final resting place for over 1000 local veterans dating from the Civil War. Rowe was the first veteran to be buried at the cemetery. Fittingly, the cem

etery conducts an annual Memorial Day Service. While on the grounds you may encounter our animal population, which includes deer, chipmunks, foxes, birds, rabbits and squirrels. The cemetery is a sanctuary of today, paying tribute to life.

🌿✨ Cemetery Fun Fact Friday! ✨🌿

Did you know that placing coins on a headstone is a long-standing tradition that dates back to ancient times? 🪙 Each coin left has a special meaning:

A penny simply means someone stopped by to pay their respects.

A nickel means you trained at boot camp with the deceased.

A dime means you served together.

A quarter means you were there when they passed.

Next time you visit William Howard Day Cemetery, you may notice coins left behind—a quiet way of honoring loved ones and keeping their memory alive. 🕊️

💔 Grief Shouldn’t Come with a Financial Burden 💰

When a loved one passes without funeral plans in place, families often overspend by $2,000 to $5,000 on funeral services and $1,500 to $4,000 on cemetery arrangements. In the moment, emotions take over, leading to costly choices—premium caskets, upgraded vaults, and expensive headstones.

With total costs ranging from $7,000 to $12,000+, this unexpected financial strain can add stress to an already difficult time. Pre-planning allows your family to focus on love and remembrance, not finances.

Give your loved ones the gift of peace of mind—call us and plan ahead today. ❤️
