On this day, the Church celebrates the commemoration of the three major Lord’s Feasts: the Annunciation, the Nativity, and the Resurrection.
The prayers are offered in the Festive (Fara’ihi) rite, and no prostrations or abstinent fasting are permitted on this day.

May the blessing of our Good Savior be with us. Amen.

✨ On the 28th of Bashans, the body of St. Epiphanius reached Cyprus.
The clergy and people received him with crosses, incense, and hymns.
Four days without decay… a miracle that silenced the opposers,
and a marble tomb from which many wonders shone forth.

في اليوم الثامن والعشرين من بشنس، وصل جسد القديس أبيفانيوس إلى قبرص، فاستقبله الكهنة والشعب✨ بالصلبان والبخور والترتيل. أربعة أيام ظلّ الجسد بلا تغيّر، ومعجزة أسقطت المعاندين، ثم وُضع في تابوت من الرخام، وظهرت منه آيات كثيرة تشهد لقداسته.

🔥 28 Bashans: The Commemoration of the Transfer of the Body of St. Epiphanius, Bishop of Cyprus**

On the 28th of Bashans, the body of St. Epiphanius reached Cyprus.
The clergy and people received him with crosses, incense, and hymns.
Four days without decay… a miracle that silenced the opposers,
and a marble tomb from which many wonders shone forth.

May his prayers be with us, and glory be to our Lord forever. Amen.

🔥 سنكسار ٢٨ بشنس: تذكار نقل جسد القديس أبيفانيوس أسقف قبرص**

في مثل هذا اليوم من سنة ٤٠٣م، وصل جسد القديس أبيفانيوس أسقف قبرص إلى الجزيرة. وكان القديس قد تنيّح وهو في طريق عودته من القسطنطينية على متن سفينة، ولما بلغت السفينة شاطئ قبرص في اليوم الثامن والعشرين من بشنس، خرج الكهنة والشعب لاستقبال الجسد الطاهر، حاملين الصلبان والإنجيل والشموع والبخور، وهم يرتّلون بفرح روحي حتى أدخلوا الجسد إلى الكنيسة.

ولما شرع الكهنة في حفر قبر له داخل الكنيسة، اعترضهم شماسان كان القديس قد حرمهما من قبل بسبب سوء سيرتهما. وبسبب معاندتهما، بقي الجسد موضوعًا في وسط الكنيسة أربعة أيام كاملة، دون أن يتغيّر شكله أو تظهر منه رائحة، بل كان كأنه نائم بسلام.

فتقدّم شماس قديس وقال أمام الجسد:
"أنا أعلم بدالتك عند الله، وأنك قادر على إسكات هؤلاء المعاندين الأشرار."
ثم تناول فأسًا وضرب بها الأرض، فسقط الشماسان المعارضان على وجهيهما مغشيًا عليهما. فحملوهما إلى بيتهما، وماتا في اليوم الثالث.

أمّا جسد القديس، فقد طيّبه الكهنة بأطياب غالية، ولفّوه بلفائف ثمينة، ووضعوه في تابوت من الرخام داخل الكنيسة. وقد ظهرت من جسده آيات وعجائب كثيرة، شهادة لبرّه وقداسته.

بركة صلواته فلتكن معنا، ولربنا المجد دائمًا. آمين.

and Pope Yoannis II, the shepherd of peace.
One day… three crowns of glory.

✨ ٢٧ بشنس… يوم ترتفع فيه ثلاث أيقونات من نور:
لعازر الذي أحياه الرب،
والأنبا توماس السائح الذي عاش بالمزامير،
والبابا يوأنس الثاني الذي ثبّت الإيمان.
ثلاث سير… وطريق واحد نحو السماء.

✝️ The Departure of Pope Yoannis II, the Thirtieth Patriarch:

He became a monk from his youth, struggled in every form of ascetic labor,
lived in solitude, and increased in discipline and self‑denial,
until he became renowned for his knowledge and piety.

He was chosen for the Alexandrian throne and was ordained patriarch on the 3rd of Baounah, 221 AM (505 AD).

He wrote many homilies and sermons.
The Church enjoyed peace during his days,
supported by the reign of the righteous Orthodox emperor Anastasius.

After his ordination, St. Severus of Antioch sent him a letter of congratulations, affirming that: “The Lord Christ, after the union, has one nature and one will without separation.”

St. Severus accepted the letter and spread it throughout the See of Antioch.

Pope Yoannis continued caring for his flock, teaching the people,
and rebuilding the churches destroyed by the Chalcedonians.
He served faithfully for eleven years, then departed in peace.

May his prayers be with us. Glory be to God forever. Amen.

:نياحة البابا يوأنس الثاني – البطريرك الثلاثين

ترهّب منذ صغره، وجاهد بكل أنواع الجهاد، وعاش منفردًا، وزاد في النسك والتقشف،
حتى ذاع صيته بالعلم والتقوى. فاختاروه للكرسي الإسكندري، ورُسِم بطريركًا في ٣ بؤونه سنة ٢٢١ للشهداء (٥٠٥م).

كتب ميامر وعظات كثيرة، وساد الكنيسة في أيامه هدوء وسلام، وساعد على ذلك جلوس الملك الأرثوذكسي أنسطاسيوس على العرش.

وبعد رسامته، أرسل إليه القديس ساويرس الأنطاكي رسالة يهنّئه فيها،
ويؤكد فيها أن: "للسيد المسيح، بعد الاتحاد، طبيعة واحدة ومشيئة واحدة بلا افتراق."

وظلّ البابا يوأنس مهتمًا برعيته،
يعلّم الشعب، ويعمّر الكنائس التي خربها الخلقيدونيون.
وخدم إحدى عشرة سنة، ثم تنيّح بسلام.

بركة صلواته تكون معنا. ولربنا المجد دائمًا. آمين.

The Departure of Saint Thomas the Anchorite Pashans 27.

St. Thomas the Anchorite was a holy ascetic from Shenshif who longed for a life of silence and prayer. He went to Mount Shenshif, where he lived in strict asceticism—eating once a week, praying constantly, and filling his days with psalmody and Scripture. His holiness became known, and people sought his blessing, though he rarely met anyone.

One night, he saw three men in white singing with him like angels. He later learned they were monks from St. Shenouda’s monastery. In his final meeting with St. Shenouda, he foretold his own departure and gave the sign of the stone splitting at his death. Before he departed, the Lord Jesus appeared to him and promised that a church would be built in his name.

When he reposed, the stone split exactly as he had said, and St. Shenouda declared, “Today, Shenshif has lost its lamp.” Many miracles appeared from his body in the church built on his name.

: 27 نياحة القديس الأنبا توماس السائح بجبل شنشيف - بشنس

الأنبا توماس السائح كان من قديسي الصعيد، وُلد في شنشيف من والدين تقيين، ونشأ محبًا للصلاة والتأمل. ترك العالم وذهب إلى جبل شنشيف حيث عاش حياة نسكية شديدة: كان يصوم صومًا قاسيًا، ويأكل مرة واحدة في الأسبوع، ويقضي أيامه في الصلاة والتسبيح وحفظ الكتاب المقدس، حتى ظهرت فيه رائحة المسيح.

ذاع صيته، فكان الناس يأتون إليه لينالوا بركته، رغم أنه كان قليل المخالطة. وفي ليلة من الليالي ظهر له ثلاثة رجال بلباس أبيض يسبّحون معه كأنهم ملائكة، فعرف أنهم رهبان من دير الأنبا شنودة. وكانت بينه وبين الأنبا شنودة علاقة روحية قوية، وفي آخر زيارة قال له الأنبا توماس إنه سيلحق به بعد أيام، وأعطاه علامة انشقاق الحجر عند نياحته.

وقبيل انتقاله ظهر له الرب يسوع وعزّاه ووعده بأن تُبنى كنيسة على اسمه. ولما تنيّح، انشقّ الحجر كما قال، فقال الأنبا شنودة: “اليوم فقدت شنشيف سراجها.” ودُفن في موضع سُكناه، وظهرت من جسده معجزات كثيرة في الكنيسة التي بُنيت على اسمه.

✝️ The Departure of Lazarus, the Beloved of the Lord on Pashans 27:

On this day, the righteous Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha, who was called the Beloved of the Lord, departed.
After the Lord Jesus raised him from the dead, he continued to follow the apostles all his days.
And when the grace of the Holy Spirit descended upon them, they ordained him bishop of Cyprus,
where he shepherded the flock of Christ faithfully,
and lived in the ministry for forty years,
then departed in peace.

May his prayers be with us. Amen.

✝️ : نياحة لعازر حبيب الرب في بشنس 27

في مثل هذا اليوم تنيّح القديس لعازر، أخو مريم ومرثا، الذي كان يُدعى حبيب الرب.
وبعد أن أقامه الرب يسوع من بين الأموات، لزم طريق التلاميذ وسار معهم كل أيامه.
ولما حلّت نعمة الروح القدس على الرسل، أقاموه أسقفًا على قبرص،
فخدم رعية المسيح بأمانة، وعاش في الرعاية أربعين سنة،
ثم تنيّح بسلام.

بركة صلواته تكون معنا. آمين.
