Denise picked up all 86 filled backpacks, along with extra supplies, for Project HOPE today!

She sends this message to the Hope UMC community: On behalf of myself and Torrance Council of PTAs Project B.O.S.S I will like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful donations of backpacks filled with school supplies. These supplies help give students the opportunity to keep up with their peers as they now have the what is needed to complete assignments whether in their classroom or at home. I am forever grateful for your love and support.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your overwhelming generosity and the kind gifts offered to me at our final Sunday: your precious presence in worship, your extremely generous love offering with handwritten cards, the photo frame signed by the children and youth, a thoughtfully planned surprise event with a song, "Sunny," this amazing group photo, an extravagant potluck, your generous time at the photo booth and selfies with me and a stack of printed pics from the Children & Youth ministry team. Each of these gifts blessed me so abundantly! While I am truly humbled by all of your loving gifts, please know that the greatest gift of all is the privilege of having served and shared life with each of you for the past seven years. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “I thank my God every time I remember you.” (Philippians 1:3).
Thank you again for sending me off with your abundant blessing. I am so excited to see what God has in store for you as you move forward for the next season of the congregation of Hope UMC.
