God gave humanity dominion over creation, not over one another. Scripture reminds us that all people share the same origin and the same dignity, tracing back to one humanity. God’s heart is that every person who bears His image deserves honor. This serves as a call to examine whether our attitudes and actions align with that truth. The gospel not only saves us, but it also restores how we see and treat one another as equal image bearers of God.

Surrender.

Maybe the reason we are not experiencing a breakthrough is that we want to be in control, which blocks the development of our character and hinders God’s work and movement in our lives.

A great question to ask yourself is, “What am I holding on to?”

Surrender happens when you trust God with the results and release what you are most afraid to lose. Teaching us that the strongest faith is not found in holding tighter, but in learning to let go.

Jesus cried it is finished because his mission was complete. I don’t need to perform.
I don’t need to wallow in my guilt.
I don’t need to pretend I have it all together.
I just need to enter that rest.

We still serve. We still seek to grow. We still work to show His love.
Our motivation is different.
I don’t do good things to earn my salvation; I do it because I am saved.
I don’t operate out of fear. I operate out of love.
I am not striving to reach Jesus. I am abiding because I am already in Him.
I am not serving God and others out of obligation but out of gratitude for what God has done for me.
