We started our new sermon series on the life of Abraham in Genesis 12:1-9.

Through the dangerous faith of Abraham, we learn that we are all apart of God’s bigger story. We have a trustworthy God. And we have a God who offers unending grace. Will we say yes to where He is calling or leading us?

We finished our series on the book of Romans. Luke encouraged us to sit at the cross and ponder these truths.

1. God is for us!
2. God justifies us!
3. God loves us!

Romans 8:26-27 takes us to a beautiful promise of God for us in the midst of pain and suffering: the Holy Spirit both identifies with us and transforms our groans to prayers that are aligned with God’s will. He is our helper in a fallen world.

Thanks for joining us for Mother’s Day! We looked at the opening chapters of Exodus where we saw how God worked through the courageous faith of women whose small “yes” made a lasting impact. We got to hear from both Brittany and Chrissy (two of our own moms) who exemplify this faithfulness in their own lives!

We continued our study of Romans 8 and looked at how to navigate real suffering in our own lives and the lives of those around us.

We strive to reframe our hope in one that is eternal… that creation will be renewed, living life the way it was always meant to be. We have restoration to look forward to.

We are all invited and adopted into God’s family. He is our Abba Father and leads us through life as co-heirs with him. We have a choice. Do we live into this family or as a slave to the world?

Living in the tension of the already, but not yet. Having one foot in life (the Spirit) and one foot in death (the flesh). Where are you looking?

Taylor started our new sermon series on Romans 8 by looking at verses 1-4. We have a new identity in Christ, free from condemnation because of what Jesus did on the cross for us. Life with Jesus is an invitation to a radical, joy-filled renovation of the heart.

How can we be a people who truly see the beauty of the cross and what it means for us? We behold and see the glory of God. To really see, we have to have a right view of God.

Jesus loves us and cares for us deeply. Even in his final moments on the cross, he looked at his mom (Mary) and one of his best friends (John), and cared for them. He created a new spiritual family that we are now a part of. We all play a part and should contribute. What a gift and a blessing!
