✨ Wisdom Wednesday ✨
“I have heard time and time again that the real battle in life is in our mind. Once we receive the revelation and truth that, as born-again Christians, we have the mind of Christ, everything changes. I have also heard we can be confident through these battles because the mind of Christ is more than powerful enough to make us victorious in every single one.
I used to think my wife was crazy and had lost her mind when she introduced me to God and to her church in Oklahoma, The Rock of Restoration. Today, it clicked. Yes, she did lose her mind, and praise God so have I.
You see, we’re no longer using our own minds, we are using the mind of Christ. This is what God was talking about in Romans 12. Renewing our mind and being born a new creation means we are gifted the mind of Christ. When we start living, speaking, and believing like Christ Jesus, the world does not understand and assumes we are losing it and are crazy.
I also have times that I need to remind myself of the full reality of being a born-again new creation. So yes, I lost my broken and insecure mind, and now I have the confident and whole mind of Christ.
When you accept Him as your Savior, you are immediately made whole in your body, mind, soul and spirit. You just need to train yourself to act like it and be overcomers through Christ Jesus.” ~Pastor Daniel Spillman
Pastor Daniel reminds us that the true battleground is our mind — but as believers, we don’t fight with our old, broken thoughts. We fight with the mind of Christ, a renewed, restored, and victorious mindset. When we surrender our old way of thinking, we step into the identity God intended: whole, confident, and victorious!
The world may not understand it, but transformation often looks like “losing your mind” — because you’re trading it for something far better.
Romans 12:2 — And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
1 Corinthians 2:16 — For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 — Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
If you’re ready to let go of the old mindset and walk boldly in the life and mind of Christ, take a moment today to pray, ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Or, if you already have, pray and take authority over your salvation and declare the battleground of your mind is a place of perfect peace because YOU belong to Jesus!
