Words: Refrain, Restrain, & Retrain | Chain Breaker - God Has. God Does. God Will!

Words matter. They can build others up, tear them down, speak life, or start a fire. James reminds us that although the tongue is small, it has tremendous power, and following Christ means learning when to refrain, how to restrain, and allowing God to retrain the way we speak. When our words begin as thoughts, we have an opportunity to pause, take those thoughts captive, and choose words that reflect Christ.

What would change in your relationships, conversations, and witness if you asked God to set a guard over your mouth?

Anxiety?... Or Peace? | Chain Breaker - God Has. God Does. God Will!

Anxiety can feel like a crushing weight, fueled by fear and the belief that we have to carry it ourselves. Scripture calls us to humble ourselves, cast every anxiety on God, and trust that He cares for us. Peace is not found in perfect circumstances or the absence of problems, but in the presence of the Prince of Peace. What weight are you still carrying that God is asking you to cast at His feet?

Today, our mission team had the opportunity to share their experiences from their time serving in Peru!

It was such a blessing to hear about the people they met, the ways God was working, and the impact this mission trip had on their hearts. We’re so grateful for their willingness to serve and for the opportunity to hear how God is moving beyond our church walls and around the world.
Please continue to pray for the people of Peru and for the work God is doing through missions! 🙏

Fight the Right Battle | Chain Breaker - God Has. God Does. God Will!

Not every battle we face is really against the person or circumstance standing in front of us. In Ephesians 6, Paul reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood and calls us to stand firm in the strength of the Lord, fully equipped with the armor God provides. Through truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, God’s Word, and prayer, we can recognize the real battle and refuse to let the enemy distract us from what God is doing.

Are you fighting the right battle, or has the enemy convinced you to fight what you can see instead of confronting what is happening spiritually?

Abandon To Receive | Chain Breaker - God Has. God Does. God Will!

Jesus tells us to receive the Kingdom of God with the humility, trust, and openness of a child. When the rich young ruler approaches Jesus seeking eternal life, he discovers that following Christ is not about earning salvation through perfection, but surrendering the things that have captured our hearts. God calls us to abandon our grip on the things of this world and trust that what He offers is far greater than anything we could hold onto.
