This Sunday, something holy happend at the Yakima SunDome.
Our young people stood before the Bishop and received the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are ready — because of the countless hours poured into them by our faithful Catechists and Volunteers who showed up week after week, not for recognition, but out of love for God and for these souls.
To our Parents and Sponsors — you are their first witnesses of faith. That matters more than you know.
And to our Confirmandi — the Holy Spirit is not a memory of this past Sunday. He is a Person who will be with you every day. Let Him lead. 🕊️

Este domingo pasado, algo sagrado ocurrió en el Yakima SunDome.
Nuestros jóvenes se presentaron ante el Obispo y recibieron la plenitud del Espíritu Santo en el Sacramento de la Confirmación. Están listos — gracias a las incontables horas que nuestros Catequistas y Voluntarios dedicaron a ellos, semana tras semana, no por reconocimiento, sino por amor a Dios y a estas almas.
A los Padres y Padrinos — ustedes son sus primeros testigos de fe. Eso importa más de lo que imaginan.
Y a nuestros confirmandos — el Espíritu Santo no es un recuerdo de este domingo. Él es una Persona que estará con ustedes cada día. Déjense guiar por Él. 🕊️

✨ First Holy Communion 2026 / Primera Comunión 2026 ✨

Although this post comes a little late, we would like to congratulate all of our students who received their First Holy Communion on May 2nd and 3rd! What a beautiful and special moment for our parish families as the children received Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. 🤍🙏

Aunque esta publicación llega un poco tarde, queremos felicitar a todos nuestros estudiantes que recibieron su Primera Comunión el 2 y 3 de mayo. ¡Fue un momento hermoso y muy especial para nuestras familias parroquiales al recibir a Jesús en la Eucaristía por primera vez! 🤍🙏

We are also grateful for the mini retreat held on April 29th, where students had the opportunity to prepare their hearts through prayer, reflection, and fellowship before receiving this important sacrament.

También agradecemos el mini retiro realizado el 29 de abril, donde los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de preparar sus corazones por medio de la oración, reflexión y convivencia antes de recibir este importante sacramento.

✨ Confirmation Retreat 2026 / Retiro de Confirmación 2026 ✨

On May 9th, over 120 middle school and high school Confirmation students came together for a powerful day of faith, fellowship, prayer, and reflection. Throughout the retreat, students participated in group activities, listened to meaningful testimonies, and were encouraged to open their hearts to God as they continue preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

El 9 de mayo, más de 120 estudiantes de Confirmación de secundaria y preparatoria se reunieron para vivir un poderoso día de fe, convivencia, oración y reflexión. Durante el retiro, los estudiantes participaron en actividades en grupo, escucharon testimonios significativos y fueron motivados a abrir sus corazones a Dios mientras continúan preparándose para el Sacramento de la Confirmación.

A special thank you to Fr. Salvador Cisneros for sharing such an impactful talk on the importance of making a good confession and for generously offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation to our students during the retreat. Your guidance and support helped make this day truly meaningful.

Un agradecimiento especial al Padre Salvador Cisneros por compartir una charla tan significativa sobre la importancia de hacer una buena confesión y por ofrecer generosamente el Sacramento de la Reconciliación a nuestros estudiantes durante el retiro. All of our high school and middle school Confirmation students completed their Saint projects this year—what a beautiful reflection of their hard work and growing faith! ✨

One of our classes had the opportunity to showcase their projects for families this Sunday, April 26, sharing the lives and inspiration of the Saints in a special way. We are so proud of each and every student for their dedication and creativity.

Rejoicing in the joy of the Easter Vigil at St. Aloysius Catholic Church ✨

During this sacred night, we welcomed 19 Catechumens into the Church through the Sacraments of Initiation. Your faith, dedication, and “yes” to Christ are a beautiful witness to our entire community.

Thank you to our catechists, sponsors, and families who walked alongside them on this journey. May the light of Christ continue to guide and strengthen you always.
