Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him.

The past month has been incredibly difficult, but in the middle of disappointment and heartache we have seen again that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble!

I have a photo of a Charles Spurgeon quote that I set in the middle of my desk a month ago to remind me every day the purpose of the good and loving Sovereign God in all of this -

“I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages.”

May that be all our story in times of trouble, to be reminded that: when darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil!
