“Praise God with acclamation and in His gifts rejoice.” (LSB 713:5) This morning our adult catechumens confessed the faith given to them in their baptism and taught to them according to God’s Word. We pray that God would continue to nourish and strengthen them with His Word and Sacrament. Soli Deo Gloria!

For our tenth annual worship conference (on the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist), we were blessed to have Rev. Timothy Frank as both a presenter and organist for our afternoon organ recital following the Office of Vespers. The theme for the conference was “Music as Proclamation,” and we enjoyed welcoming participants from Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri for continuing education and fellowship together in Christ.

The annual LWML Bargain and Bake Sale begins this Thursday, August 20!

Stop by on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Any items you wish to donate may be dropped off today (8/18) or tomorrow (8/19).

This past Sunday, we celebrated Promotion Sunday, giving thanks to God for those hitting theological milestones, St. John's Classical Lutheran School, those that serve the church through Sunday School, Bible class, Sound Words Academy, and the various ways in which our congregation has opportunities to learn more about God's Word. Many enjoyed fellowship, breakfast, and trivia!

Join us for Education Sunday as we celebrate the great gift of Christian Education. God has blessed our congregation with many wonderful opportunities to grow in the fear and love of the Lord in our Classical Lutheran School, Sunday School, Sound Words Academy, and Bible studies.

-Sunday School Teacher Installation at 8:00 service

-Monthly breakfast will be a potluck hosted by our two boards of education: the St. John Classical Lutheran School Board and the Board of Parish Education

-Children reaching milestone ages will be recognized.

-Education Trivia Game during the fellowship time. Pick your tablemates well as there will be prizes for the top team.
