This Sunday, we continue our All Gas series with a voice shaped by both faith and service.

🎀 John B. Hymon

Pastor Hymon is a Licensed Elder with over 20 years of ministry experience and a lifelong commitment to serving others. His journey reflects both deep faith and resilience, including founding Raptuready Ministries in 2013 with a heart to serve beyond the walls and meet people where they are.

Alongside his ministry, he has spent decades in mental health and social services and now serves as a Licensed Master Social Worker, providing care and guidance to individuals, couples, and families.

Through his leadership with Launch & Thrive, he continues to invest in community transformation, helping equip people to lead, grow, and build sustainable change.

At the center of it all is a life marked by compassion, faith, and a desire to uplift others.

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Hymon shares and helps us continue exploring what it looks like to live a life shaped by the Spirit.

We’re looking forward to learning together.

Today, we honor fathers and father figures who lead with love, sacrifice, patience, and presence.

We celebrate the dads who show up consistently in the big moments and the ordinary ones. The men who encourage, guide, protect, teach, and care in ways that often go unseen.

We also recognize that Father’s Day can carry many emotions. Joy, gratitude, grief, absence, healing, or longing. Wherever you find yourself today, you are seen.

Scripture reminds us that God is a faithful Father who is near to His children and steady in His love.

β€œAs a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” β€” Psalm 103:13

Happy Father’s Day from Fellowship Hi-Crest. πŸ’™

πŸš— Most of us are used to thinking about the Christian life as something we need to hold back in. Be careful. Stay balanced. Don’t go too far.

But when it comes to the Fruit of the Spirit, Scripture actually invites us into something different.

Not less.
Not halfway.
But fully in.

That’s what this series is about.

Each week, we’re walking through Galatians 5:22–23 and exploring what it looks like to truly live a life shaped by the Spirit. Not just knowing about love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-controlβ€”but actually seeing those things grow in us and show up in our everyday lives.

Because this isn’t about trying harder or becoming a better version of yourself.

It’s about learning how to live in step with the Spirit in a way that begins to change you from the inside out… and overflows into your relationships, your choices, and the way you show up in the world.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, worn out, or unsure what real growth looks like, this series is for you.

Today, we pause to remember, reflect, and honor Juneteenth.

Juneteenth marks the delayed announcement of freedom to enslaved African Americans in Texas on June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It stands as both a celebration of freedom and a reminder of the long journey toward justice, dignity, and equality.

As followers of Jesus, we believe every person carries the image of God and that the work of reconciliation, restoration, and love for neighbor matters deeply.

Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and remember.

In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed today.
